CE285A (HP85A) cartridges are about the same price as the printer

    Profit!

The starter toner will not yield the same amount of pages as the replacement toner. This idea has been thought of many times in the past and will not benefit you.

  • Shipping?

be advised you get a starter toner with these (probalby less than 700 pages)

apparently toners are as low as $25 but only 1,500 pages

genuine toners are more than the printer

    • Ahhh!
That's why it is on special.
Buy 1 get 5 for free and HP will still make a profit in the long run.

  • its a good simple cheap printer IF you can get some cheap generic cartridges. Im curious if anyone can find out how many pages it will print with the toner it comes with?

  • $60 shipping to NSW. May drop once the sale goes live (it looks live already but title says 19/5?).

  • I am pretty happy with this printer. Buy ink from Ebay 20 bucks I think

      You mean toner.

      • same diff

  • How does this compare with: www.ozbargain.com.au/node/70146 ?

I definitely recommend the wireless version. I used to have a printer for each computer, now it's much easier.

    • Agreed! Bought one from Officeworks about 6 months ago for around $100 - love it, and generic cartridges aren't too much on eBay.

      • Still under $80. Wireless also supports AirPrint. And CloudPrint or whatever that's called. Nice little unit.

  • the picture shown is the 1102w (wireless). the plain 1102 is white. I think.
