    Doesn't sound very hygienic…

    • +1

yeah, I've heard that 'Litter' ink is absolute rubbish

    • +1

OP, should be "Litre" not Litter.

      • Thanks:)

        • with extra 3 liter Ink

          What's a liter ???

          (go for third time lucky…)

    • I guess this misspelling would be a litre-bug. :)

  • I have looked at these systems in the past. Has anyone actially used one?

    • +1

yep, i was about to post, be carefull which ones you get…

I bought some cheap 30 doller ebay ones in the past ended up leaking everywhere and all over my printer- ended up tossing the printer,

I got one for 140 bux that works awesome in my artisan 835, very much worth the money 100ml for $140 as opposed to 5ml that you get in the genuines…(for about the same amount of $$$)

got my dad to get one, and even a few friends… went on there recomendation too ended up buying the printer based on the ink system, and i dont regret it one bit…

just make sure you get one from a trusted place:

      highly recomend these guys…
      http://www.rihac.com.au/
they are melbourne based so if you have any issues you can always go back to them.
140 for the system and 100ml of each of the inks…

13 bux per 100ml for refils… so these guys are cheaper if you want all that ink, but not sure of the quality of them.

NOTE::: USE CODE 070512 to get a further 10% discount…
when i put it in i got this:
      Total (GST incl.):
      $191.70

I can not recommend Rihac highly enough. Have been using their CISS for the last 3-4 years and it has been flawless with quality prints that matches the original cartridges. Hassle free system that rarely needs any maintenance.

I've also got a rihac, just awesome. I've been to their store, which is more like a small display room in front of a warehouse. Their telephone and email support is also quite good.

    • Yep, I bought a similar package for my Epson Artisan 725 a year ago. No problem at all. Similar model like this Epson printer is recommended if you are going to use a CISS ink as the ink tank is fixed in one place.

I also use a CISS from Rihac for three years on my Canon MP600 until I made a mistake of mixing different ink bought on ebay that cause a blockage in the print head.

  • Does anyone sell printers with these things already installed?

    • There are some epson ones

      • Cheers. Got any names or URLs?

        • Nope, sorry, was just reading wikipedia about these things, and it mentioned it.

  • I bought one from rihac for canon. Waste of money. Design is very poor.I am not keen to waste another $200+ on these systems.

    • We have 30-day Money Back Guarantee…

      • Once you install this printer warranty is void. And I am sure your system will last more than 30 days. The problem starts when air gets into the chamber. Mine was installed by the supplier.

        • If you monitore your ink level each time after you reset the chipset, Air will never go to chamber.
Also Epson has started to sell printer with CISS (BUT not in Australia yet)

If they start this new system in OZ, They wouldn't sell 8ml cartridges for $25.00 ( As you know for each set of 6 colours printer you need to pay more than $100.00 , some times it cost more than a printer.) But with our system you will pay $9.00 for 100ml ink! huge difference.

  • Do you have anything for - CANON MG6250?

  • YES, same system with more advantages. If you would like to compere our system see link below:
Also our Canon CISS comes with chipset.

    • Impressive service…
Emailed a question at 1030.. Sunday night.. Got reply at 11.30pm..
      Ordered CIss at 2.00am Monday

Arrived 10.00am Tuesday morning via DHL..

$338.72 got me a pair of CISS systems.. for the Epson TX700W and Epson Artisan 837.. one full of ink.. the other empty (saveda round $30-40)Plus a 1 Litre of ink for each fo the six colours… Its going to last me forever.. (or at least till the printer breaks)…

  • I have been using a Rihac system for almost 4 years now with no issues.

Installation is Very Easy. It wont void the warranty on your system if you have an issue at take it back to a place like officeworks if you have an extended warranty. When you install the CISS keep the original cartridges and put them back in if you have to do a return!

If you get air in the lines, its easy to get it out, just use the syringe to draw the air out and re-prime the chambers. A few head cleans and its all gone. Only once i had an issue with a black cartridge not holding pressure due to my own fault when i reprimed the cartridge after moving office one day and i think i damaged the cartridge when using the syringe to reprime the cartirdge.

  • Been using Rihac system on a canon printer for about 5 years it is bullet proof and hasn't missed a beat in this time. Saved us (small business) thousands in printing costs for smaller run newsletters, brochures, price lists etc. So I can highly recommend Rihac but would give this company a good look if the current printer/system dies. Their chipset setup while not that important to me is superior.

Haha at all the RIHAC comments
In response to the O.P. with ink about 100ml being $9, ebay ink for a lot of printers (in a cartridge) can be easily obtained @$2.50 for 18ml each, so $12.50 for 90ml (at least with the Epson NX430) ($50 for 5 sets of BCYM @90mL ea)
The initial cost of the CISS systems still look a bit high.
For heavy users, CISS is most likely the logical choice, for low-medium user I think cheap ebay ink is still favoured :P
