DESCRIPTION
Continuing to evolve within its lineage, the GEL-QUANTUM 180 5 sneaker revamps the design of its predecessor with a 3D printed upper and a more intuitive fit. Formed with 3D printed overlays on the upper construction, this shoe's sleek mesh upper is complemented with an intuitive fit system that creates a customized feel. Additionally, the eyestay is enhanced with asymmetrical laces and internal gilley eyelets that promote a locked-in fit. Paired with a bold GEL logo on the heel counter, this shoe is also layered with 180 degrees of GEL technology based cushioning in the midsole for long-lasting underfoot comfort.

Is this a neutral or stability shoe?

      What's the difference?

    • I believe they’re pretty neutral. Salespeople will describe them as “above Kayano” but that doesn’t seem correct. Asics define them as “sportstyle”.

Neutral; I've looked into these before when they were cheap as an alternative to my running shoes of choice (Nimbus) and each time I came to the conclusion that they just weren't as good so didn't bother (I do about 30km a week and wanted a second shoe for light runs)

  • Shame some of the nicer colours are not available at the same price

No size 10_2E, or am I just blind ?

  • 13cm wide foot, fit?

    • Mine are 12cm wide size 12 and these are comfy, not tight. I think that extra 1cm will be a tight fit. Nike Air Huarache 1 size up would prob be more suited as they are stretch material and the sides are separate from the upper and tongue so you get that extra space. I just bought a pair in size 13 and they feel like they have room to spareon the sides, but I went in to store to try them as I wasn;t confy buying them online without testng due to nike making small shoes.

  • Crappy pre-sales customer service from Platypus Shoes.

Simple inquiry, and there was no one available for live chat.

2 days later, get an email stating "I've just responded to your message. Click here to see my reply".

Click on the link, it takes me to their website, there is no reply to be found.

It comes as no surprise, that I cant reply to the email to let them know that their reply cannot be read, as it is a noreply email address.

I don't think they want my business.
