    Nice spicy snack

    • Are they low calorie?

      • 3 eV = 1.1488E-19 calories

So basically nothing. Great for diets!

Can't deliver, can't pickup. How do you purchase them?

      NFT batteries?

    • +1

More like targeted!! probably only available over 300km from any major cities and may only have 1 pack left in those stores :)

  • so many numbers in title, wtf lol

  • +2

That's the kids stocking fillers sorted.

  • Do bunnings stock these?

  • +1

Thanks. Grabbed a replacement 1632 for my car FOB. Battery warning light has been coming up for a couple of weeks, now I’m glad I’d never got around to replacing it!

got 9 packs from three different stores, hmmmm not sure if worth the fuel

  • +3

It appears that all brands of coin batteries are $1. Some have better stock than others, but it all looks pretty low overall.

Although the review on the SCA brand seems to indicate that these may have been on clearance for a while. Which is a shame, since I needed a couple to slap into some sensors. (Although I might just slap together a panel and a small supercap instead, assuming I can find the right size in stock that isn't on backorder)

Buyers be aware of discounted or clearance items
I was disappointed to find out two of the batteries had less than 1volt, the other three were less than 3volts, selling as a clearance item was for a reason, was unable to change product as it was a clearance item. waste of money.

Thanks! My key fob is starting to fail.

Great, have been waiting for some of these different batteries types. $1 for some of these is fantastic.

  • Bat shit crazy world that these are banned due to child safety……like the packet literally says child safe, the type that's annoying to open due to the plastic.

    • +4

I don't think they are banned, but they are dangerous to kids so we need to keep them out of reach just like any poison. It's not a choking thing, it is the risk that they can get stuck in a child’s throat and burn through the oesophagus in less than 2 hours. This burning can lead to serious injury requiring surgery, or death. There have been deaths in Australia.

        The epitome of bad parenting.

        • Huh? If anything it's an indictment on shitty packaging, the thing that plmko is wanting more of. Your comment is the epitome of people who aren't parents commenting on things they know nothing of

          • +3

@MikeWhitneysHair: I have 2 grown up, very successful kids, thanks for asking. And I know bad parenting, I see it all the time, usually from people who blame everything but themselves. Oh, its bad packaging, the pool didn't have a fence, Maccas make the food too unhealthy, I only turned away for a moment and the kid was gone. It's everyone else's fault that my kid is an obnoxious, obese, whining little sh1t.

            • @Wardaddy: We're talking about a small problem that requires you to use scissors. If that's too much of a cost for you to save one life of a bad parent then you don't really have a say in public health policies

          • +2

@MikeWhitneysHair: the children opened the packaging, and swallowed the battery?

            smells like bullplop.

battery left on bench, child swallows battery, parent blames anyone but themselves as that is the current state of Western society.

new packaging uses twice a much plastic - which is supposed to be so bad that straws were banned. what a crock of life giving nutrients.

            • +1

@quog: It's inconceivable that a child could open a package - Western civilisation is collapsing!

It's not enough to take steps to reduce the use of single-use plastics - you need to eliminate the problem entirely - which I'll whine is draconian if it ever comes up!

              Are you OK?

    • They're not banned - the packaging is being changed. Do you normally take claims that companies make on face value and struggle with packaging? You may have bigger problems to worry about.

  • Well that was a waste of 30 seconds

    • +1

      That’s what your wife said

  • New packaging laws are in any day now. So these batteries are cheap everywhere (well they were, you may have missed it).
    Coles / Woolies had most for 50c - $1 a pack.

    • The problem is, I couldn't find them everywhere..

  • How good are these vs others? I got the Woolies ones but wow they failed after a little while. I used them for a sunroom tho where it goes hot and cold each day.

    • -1

Could the temperature changes be because the sun rises and sets?

  • +5

As of 22nd of June a new law will come into affect in Australia which will require all coin/button cell packaging to be child resistant (two layers of protection) as well as additional warnings on the packaging (big warning text, new keep out of reach logo or text). It’s a big fine for companies to sell them if they do not meet the new guidelines so most places will be selling them off cheap to make way for the new compliant stock.

    • more plastic for bad parenting!

      no plastic straws!

      • You're particularly concerned with other people's parenting and the loss of your precious plastic straws, aren't you?

I'd recommend you stop main-lining the Murdoch propaganda and get yourself a hobby (and hopefully some perspective while you're at it.) - There's a drone deal posted - maybe give that a crack.

        • You seemed concern about my posts, are you stalking me!

          Are you a predator?

Is your opinion the only thing that matters? Keep it to yourself - okay? Now take a long run off a short pier.

  • I was just happened to bought CR2032 from Kmart few days ago, generic brand, $2 for 4. Not $4 for 4 as advertised. So I reckon they are all selling at discounted price now.

  • None in stock near my house.

  • Great timing as my airtags needed new CR2032 batteries

    • Were you able to find any nearby stores with stock at all?

  • no stock in victoria …

  • Cheers OP, got some A76 4 pack's which are good for the old handheld games.

  • I'm surprised how fast they went
