Looks like it's matching the D1 store.

  • do you need a license for this? I just need one for checking my own roof… and maybe chase the lego train a bit when it's outside….

Sounds like the Mini 2 would be the go for that.

This one is what you're after.

      • thanks!
is it worth getting the mini 3 though?

        • Yes

        • +2

All depends on your usage, if you are just getting into it then no I wouldn't say it is worth it.
Yeah the 3 has collision avoidance but loads of people happily used the 2 without. You could buy a 2 on its own nearly for the difference in price.

          • @Spendmore: oh wow, i just saw the non-combo pack, it's almost half the price of the 3.
i suppose on the bright side, i could get the 2 + combo and go from there if i want to upgrade in the future.

less upfront if i found that it's not a thing for me.

            • +1

@slowmo: Yeah exactly and the 2 is still a very very good drone, it's as much as a lot of people will need
You can also use 3rd party apps to unlock more features like follow mode and waypoint flight with apps like Litchi.

              • @Spendmore: is the 1 yr insurance thing worth it? is it something like how apple care+ does it? like if a magpie takes it out, i'd probably will be devastated….

                • +1

@slowmo: I'm not sure of the cost, but if it is the first thing you have flown it might be a good idea.
Although my father has flown his without and had a few minor dingles that caused no real damage. If you start slow and get confidence I'd say no if you want to push yourself then definately.

        • For your use case might be better off with the Mini SE which is usually around $600 for the flymore combo.

  • Smack my ass and call me Judy! That's some expensive toy.
