Are gen 4 pretty much the same as gen 3 except for the CPU?
Gen 4 also has PCIE 4.0 SSD compatibility whereas Gen 3 doesn't. In real world usage I can't imagine it being noticeable. It also looks like the pre-configured Gen 4's have 1080p webcams compared to 720p on the Gen 3's.
Just a heads up, the 5700u is a rebadged 4800u. Still a great laptop processor, but it's zen 2 not zen 3 like the 5600 and 5800 models.

Great value laptop. We have a few Gen 3's but plenty of Gen 2's and Gen 4's in our company and they've been pretty solid. Out of about the 100 we have we've only had one that has had an issue which was a faulty SSD noticeable from day 1. Replaced on site within a couple of days. Yes it still has a USB 2.0 port but doesn't affect anyone's real world usage. Only real negative is real world battery life is 3-4 hours with a bit of stuff open but for the price and performance can't really complain.
