  • Net of offset when calculating cashbacks or not?

And is an offset account included?

I'm done with my bank after 15 years.. Looking for the right offer

    • For the banks cashback no

      For the broker rebate yes.

Offset is available under Standard Variable.

  • +1

The link to the terms and conditions for the broker rebate doesn't work. OP can you please fix?

    • Hey sorry it's been fixed up.

      Please try again

      Thanks

      Wilson

  • Hi OP is there any cashbacks with Better Choice Home Loans at the moment?

    • Yes there's a $2000 cashback back.

Please reach if you like to discuss further

  • Can I take out a second mortgage and get the cashback?

    • -2

Why dont you just refinance and get the cashback. If you're looking to purchase another property, yes you can get cashback with Citibank

      • My current loan is less than the minimum amount. How long is the process to settle?

        • 3-5 weeks to settled

  • What's your best interest rate /deal for variable with offset & cashback? Loan value ~$640k

    • -1

What's the value of the property?

      • Sorry should have said, just under 80% LVR

  • Can casual employee apply home loan?

    • -2

      yes they can

      • Whats the different/benefits apply loan through broker than bank directly?

        • Not much difference, at the end of the day you are the one who is gonna be paying for the loan.

Directly with bank is considered faster.

        • -3

You get usually better rates with Broker, and discounts and waives of certain fees that applying directly as brokers do large volumes with banks.

You also not have to deal with all the paperwork and back/forwards with the banks as your broker will do all that work.

          • @Wilson Heroes HL: *you don’t get better rates with broker than the bank your going to. It’s just broker has access to different Banks.
End of the day broker escalating your interest concession would be the same for the bank lender to do so with same result. Just goes up the channel

*your still dealing with all the paperwork giving it to your broker. A broker doing everything for you would just be fraudulently making it up?

Usually you prepare payslip and statement, broker/lender reviews and submits application, once approved you need to sign loan contracts which nowadays is done online digitally with banks directly (not sure if brokers can do that)

Brokers bring your deal to the banks, earns the commission and that’s it. They can’t do anything after as they don’t actually work for the bank they sign you up on.

  • How often can you refinance? My last one was 6 months ago

    • -2

  • Has Citi really extended the cashback promo? I cannot find anything online. Is the offer restricted to brokers?

    • Yes they have extend to the end of June. I have attached the terms and c in the offer

  • Are these rates and expiry still current?

    • Rates are current as of now but expect to go up by 0.5% due to RBA rate decision this month
