  • I believe this is the weight specs:

    Weight
Integrated graphics model: starting at 1.38 kg
Discrete graphics model: starting at 1.41 kg

    • Got a link to a discrete GPU model? Can only find integrated versions :/

Having sound by the 999 Lenovo earlier in the week, these all seem underwhelming

  • Anyone think this is a good deal for a general work/productivity laptop? Not using for gaming or graphics design work…

    • +2

Absolutely. Crisp display with 16:10 aspect ratio makes it a perfect work and productivity laptop. Feels premium and quite good battery life as well.

    • I think the discrete models are all out of stock

  • Pardon my ignorance but would the usb-c port that supports power delivery and display port allow me to connect this to a usb-c monitor such as the Dell U2722DE for a one cable solution (including delivering internet from Ethernet from the usbc cable connected from the laptop to the monitor? I get a little confused by all the generations of usb-c.

    • +1

Yes, it will work. I have got exact same setup

  • How does the 5800u version compare to something like this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/703473

I'm having difficulties deciding between this one, the Yoga Slim (above) and maybe even the Yoga OLED.

I have access to the education store.

Touch screen is a nice addition but not super necessary.

Depends on what you are after. I do photography so a SD Card Reader and Touchscreen were a must so I went for this one.
