  • Well that's annoying. I've been waiting for these to drop but got impatient and bought the shp9500 instead.

$224 if you get them from the UK via amazon Aus too

  • That’s a great price. Even more tempting over the hd6xx at this price range.

    • especially if you're entering the audiophile space and don't have dac/amp yet. these 560s will be much better in that case.

I've been through a few headphones over the past couple years. From the Sennheiser 58x to the Fidelio x2hr and a few grados as well. I bought these from Amazon a couple weeks ago at around this price and I've already sold the Fidelios and I'm in the process of selling the grados. Obviously sound is very personal but for me these are my absolute end game at this price point for open back headphones. They have amazing detail and good quality bass for me. I use them with the fiio btr5 and they sound phenomenal. They even sound great connected directly to my PS5 controller. Very highly recommended by my ears. :)

Yeah agreed - they sound 'just right'.. especially when i use my stereo amp as a headphone amp. ;)

  • These are great. The only con is they are slightly hot in the top end, but that can be fixed with a passive filter as seen here https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/measurements…

  • Bought these a few days ago and have been A/B them with my DT 1990s in my magni/vali/Loki schiit stack.

The mids are certainly more forward. Ghd highs are over all brighter as well but they don't tend to have that high treble peak that the 1990s have.

They remind me of planars with that kind of energy. Which is a pro and con depending on your preference.

Eq them a but with the Loki and boosted the lower end and tapered off the forward mids a little. Reduced the high end a smidge and they really came together.

Putting the 1990s back on and they feel darker, but relaxed.

Not sure which I like more, that energy and airy forward nature or the more relaxed warmer 1990.

Very clinical without Eq. Good sub extension but not as much in terms or quantity.
