Segway Ninebot Kickscooter F40A $769.99 Delivered @ Ridehub

100

Great price on this excellent performing Segway electric scooter and beats previous deals in that it offers free delivery nationwide.

The quick specs is that the max stock speed is approximately 25km/h (30km/h via custom firmware), typical range of 30-40km, 350W front motor, 10" pneumatic tyres, electronic + disc brake and the scooter is suitable for people up to 120kg.

Like the older Segway G30 series, this scooter is a good choice for someone wanting to do some urban commuting or wanting to start out with electric scooters. The main difference from a Segway G30 is that this has a front motor instead of a rear motor.

And as usual eScooter Bingo because NSW/VIC residents love to say silly things.

Was 759 + delivery from JB using afterpay, not a great deal

    • +3

You're taking the piss right? The JB deal was $759 plus delivery that varies from $14.99, $17.99 and $24.99 depending on postcode. It also requires you to use afterpay only.

Meanwhile this deal is $769 with free delivery nationwide and thus… cheaper. Furthermore you can use multiple payment methods, like PayPal, your credit or debit card, or other BNPL services.

Prefer brick and motor store while there is option to click and collect.

Is it legal in VIC ???

Vic roads said it cannot be legally used on a road or any road related areas, including footpaths, shared paths or public areas.

    • Not legal. Victoria and NSW are the backwards states.

      • Based on the number of close calls between scooters and pedestrians I've seen on KSD walking path in Brisbane, I think they'll be banned here after the first accident. If people would ride reasonably I think it would be fine, but it's going to be one of the ones that weighs 60kg's with a 100kg dude on it going 65 km/h and they're just going to take them away from all of us.

        • Accidents like this is all it really takes. That entire road is a no go zone and afterwards some bogans went around trying to run down scooter riders.

    • There's an ongoing trial of e-scooters in Melb CBD https://www.melbourne.vic.gov.au/parking-and-transport/Pages… noone is checking which scooter is which

Not legal in Victoria but i seen plenty about !

    • That's why I am so confused. I seen so many e scooter. And they ride high speed.

  • yeah despite the legality i've seen a bunch around hawthorn, and other places

  • The website states that it is F40 and not F40A.

    • Same thing. The letters indicate A for Australia or E for Europe or nothing for everywhere else.

      • I was going to head to JB and ask them to price match, but they sell the F40A.

        • The URL says F40A so it should be no issue.

  • Could anyone get JB HiFi to price match ? My store just said the best they can do is $899 which was last weeks deal …

      My store offered $800

      • damn thats pretty alright! I tried 2 stores and online … went 999, then one was 899 … :)

        • I will go with G30L tho I guess.
