1330

Save the offer to your eligible Card and spend $30 or more, in one or more transactions, in-person at Red Rooster locations that accept Amex only by 18/07/2022 to receive one $10 credit.

Limited to the first 50,000 Cards to save the offer. Exclusions apply.

As discussed here it’s very rare to see offers on supplementary cards. Strange, but this is the only recent offer I can see on my supplementary cards.

My Amex is new but just to clear up the wording, you could buy the $5 lunch quarter and chips deal 6 times and qualify yes? Would make it $3.50 a meal after cash back .

    • Exactly how it works, once you hit the $30 total, you qualify for the $10 credit.

Last time I tried to use one of these my local Red rooster told me they didn't accept Amex

Sorry I should clarify, I tried to use the Amex, the EFTPOS machine rejected it, THEN they told me they didn't take Amex

Have you tried ordering online? It has a credit card checkout.

      • Amex is not accepted in App too.

    • Same thing happened to me with the last Amex Oporto deal

    • Same. I tried at Ermington NSW. They don’t accept Amex.
There are no Red Roosters in North Of Sydney CBD. So not much use for me.

      • Thank you very much @Iwantthatbargain for sharing that tip - I've tried the Ermington store's number 8 times today from 1153 to 1547 AEST - I instantly got the "Cancelled Call" tone. Every. Single. Time.

One call to the Wentworthville store at 1548 AEST - my next closest - and I was told that they do accept AmEx. Now to decide if it is worth the trip, and to make sure I get a receipt as well per the next thread below.

        • Hey dazeet, my comment above was from my experience in last year. But I went to Ermington store 2 weeks ago, and they are accepting the Amex now.

Yes, wentworthville store always accepted amex, even last year they did.

    • Same

    • AMEX not accepted at Inala, QLD.

Anyone else see the 20% "Spend and Save" offer? Looks like up to $100 back - any Amex accepting retailer!

  • Thanks mate lunch and dinner sorted

    Last time I tried twice.
    First store wouldn’t accept AMEX.
Second store accepted but Now AMEX wouldn’t qualify because some Red Rooster stores actually showed up on the statement as a different trading company and not Red Rooster itself.
Just found the name on my statement: Pollo Loco Pty Ltd.

I had the same problem. Had to explain to them that the store was a huge freestanding store on a major highway. They finally credited my account.

Don’t think I’ll bother this time. Don’t need the stress and the food is shite.

      Pollo Loco Pty Ltd.

lol, crazy chicken in Spanish. Also a legit company https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Pollo_Loco

Second store accepted but Now AMEX wouldn’t qualify because some Red Rooster stores actually showed up on the statement as a different trading company and not Red Rooster itself.

Contact Amex to have that resolved, should be doable if you have the receipt and Amex can see its an actual Red Rooster store

      • Was thinking the same thing. CRAZY CHICKEN??? someone got lost in translation

      • yes keep your receipts as it may not appear on statement as red rooster. i had to upload receipts to get Amex credit at one store last time.

    • @grizz, that store name could be related to Los Pollos Hermanos, :P

  • Finally one for the Supplementary cards!

    • +1

Me2, hopefully they bring back Supplementary cards for statement credit deals

      • Already occurred.

    • Yep,got on sup for my Discovery

  • Nice, glad the spend can be spread over multiple transactions. Are they still doing the $5 lunch specials?

  • +5

Note, half of the red roosters don't accept amex

  • do they sell gift cards or vouchers or can you top up a store account in store?

    • No gift cards.

  • Anyone tried ordering online or via the app , and did it work?

    • +2

I tried via their web site to order a meal and they don't accept amex. The Red Rooster near me doesn't take amex in store either, which appears to be a common theme here. A difficult statement credit offer and something amex didn't thank through properly with Red Rooster.
