Got one of these from work for my home office and it's solidly unremarkable. Does nothing amazingly well, but similarly isn't bad. There are better screens that cost more but if you're just push excels or vscoding it will do the job.

    • What if you just wanna use it as an additional monitor for discord etc? Worth?

      • Mine is basically on Slack or Chrome for 8 hours and it's fine. It doesn't look as nice as the retina on my MacBook (dpi difference is noticeable) but it's not unpleasant and it's like 4 times the surface area.

    • It’s a 1440p monitor for under $300, so it’s naturally going to be budget oriented. Though, I did see a great deal for around this price range for an Acer Nitro monitor which had higher refresh rate and brightness. But, that went out of stock nearly instantly.

I chose this monitor cause I don’t really care too much about refresh rate. Mainly going to use for productivity (coding, word, excel) and some gaming. I’ll mainly be playing AAA games with the monitor plugged into my laptop (the recent Ideapad deal with RTX3060). The refresh rate won’t matter too much when I’m unlikely to get much higher than 60 fps on my laptop in these types of games.

    • Yeah plus it’s 75Hz so a bit extra silky smooth?

If it was 4K, I’d probably buy it.

  • Nice timing. Was looking for sub $300 27" QHD monitors.

Have taken to running my second monitor vertically, splitting it into two virtual desktops. But 1080 pixels isn't quite wide enough. 1440 should be the sweet spot

  • $20 cheaper than the recent Dell eBay weekend deal, which I bought, but I don't know much about refresh rates. I'm having problems with a couple of applications which don't much like the higher resolution - previously FHD.
Still, it was a good buy.
