  • Why is it an old version. What's the new version?

      • So the difference is it doesn't spark like this old version does? How can you sell a product you had to upgrade to a new version so it doesn't spark lol?

        Seems unsafe.

        • Both new and old version does not spark, they are compared with other products.

          • @Fosi Audio: Please plug the power cord into the amp THEN the wall, plug the audio cables into amp THEN switch on.

Some customers may see some slight sparks flying when they plug the power supply into the amplifier, because they use it in the wrong way, you need to connect the amp to the power supply first, then plug the power supply into the 110v AC outlet, don't worry about the sparks, because this is class d amplifier, the capacitors need to charge when the power in, it's normal and safe.

            As quoted from your website.

            • @TheBlackMini: Compare with the old version amp :

              1. No sparks flying when the power supply plug-in

              Also quoted on the website

@Fergy1987: They didn't add " when people plug the power supply into a live socket, then approach the device with a small metal probe intended and designed to be carrying a current."

Face is important in some cultures, and one can be sure half of the clientele are below average intelligence. "We made it a bit more idiot proof" risks alienating previous customers who concerns you have assuaged.

  • Limited-time deal: Fosi Audio Q4 Headphone Amplifier Mini Stereo DAC 24-Bit 192 KHz USB Optical Coaxial to RCA AUX Digital-to-Analog Audio Converter Adapter for Home Desktop Powered Active Speakers https://amzn.asia/d/2YA2cdQ in comparison?

    • Thank you

    • These are different things, the one you provided the link for is a headphone amp/DAC, I've got one, it's OK, better than onboard sound off a $100 motherboard, my little Cambridge dongle was better.
The subject of this deal is supposed to power actual speakers, I don't know if it is up to the task.

This peaked my curiosity so I did a quick comparison between the two, this stood out in particular (I added highlights)

    • Old: "Some customers may see some slight sparks flying when they plug the power supply into the amplifier, because they use it in the wrong way, you need to connect the amp to the power supply first, then plug the power supply into the 110v AC outlet, don't worry about the sparks, because this is class d amplifier, the capacitors need to charge when the power in, it's normal and safe." source: https://fosiaudioshop.com/products/home-audio-amp-tb10a-old-…

    • New: " Upgraded DC Outlet
The old version amp or other brand amplifiers sparks flying when the power supply plugin, it's unsafe. With a built-in power protection circuit, there are no sparks flying when you plug the power adapter into the amplifier. Safe for use!" source: https://fosiaudioshop.com/products/home-audio-amplifier-rece…

@Fergy1987 beat me to it, lol

    • Sounds entertaining

Pity it has no sub output

      • For an amplifier with sub out, you can have a look at Fosi Audio BT30D [https://fosiaudioshop.com/products/bt30d-bluetooth-5-0-2-1-channel-power-amplifier-with-bass-and-treble-control]

        • I did see that but it's twice the cost of.the op :(

  • Anything with a sub out?

    • For an amplifier with sub out, you can have a look at Fosi Audio BT30D [https://fosiaudioshop.com/products/bt30d-bluetooth-5-0-2-1-channel-power-amplifier-with-bass-and-treble-control]

      • Cool awesome just picked one up on eBay for $75 after eBay code

        • great

    • Depending on your sub, should just be able to hook it up with speaker cables from the amp either inline or by running two sets of cables out will usually get better sound letting your sub do the low-pass filtering instead of the amp too

      Yes

  • Purchasing was a flawless experience - and you can go in through a Paypal door and let them do all the form filling for you.

That should suit the nervous wondering where the Sherriff is.
