  • Damn still no 10% off MacBook offer , I was expecting one for EOFY

      Just ask

Any opinions on the Blaupunked 75 inch TV for $796 as a cheap one for kids?

    • -1

Same, wondering for a bedroom TV.

    • +1

I think it is just us oldies who are still impressed by big screens. Kids would rather watch their phones.

    • Not sure how old your kids are but why on earth would they need a 75 inch TV? Watching a crap screen (very high chance of “dirty screen effect”) of that size would not be good on their eyes for starters. If you’re set on the size then I guess you’re not getting anything for cheaper.

      • It's for a play area which I'll also sit with them and use, want big because it'll sit high and far from the couch.

Mixed reviews on the S21+. May just wait for the S22+ or Ultras.

    • -2

There's like zero difference between s21 and s22

      • -1

        S21+ and S22+ ..

        • Ditto for them

      • +6

s22 range have snapdragon, s21 have exynos.

As current user of s21, exynos blows.

        • +1

Snapdragon more efficient with battery usually etc. I would avoid the s21 as it's a failure imo.

    • They do have a $399 S22 Ultra but you have to take on a $79 per month Telstra plan for 24 months.

Mate this is ozbargain, not ozbadgain

  • +3

Crappy deal on the screens. Cheaper elsewhere

    Samsung Galaxy S21+ 128GB $899

    If that's the $899 one on page 10 it's not a S21+

    Galaxy S21 5G 128GB
    506510

    • Page 10 of the catalogue shows $899 for S21+ :)

      • For me it shows

        Galaxy S21 5G 128GB
        506510
        Ticket $1249
        $899EA
        $350 OFF^

That SKU is for this phone

        • +1

I’m seeing SKU 560519 on the catalogue

Should be only the Black model

          • @BargainsGrabber: Ok I see it now.

Web catalogue has S21+ for $899 while the PDF catalogue has the S21 for $899.

One of them must be a mistake, but which one?

            • @HomeAlone: We’ll know in 10 mins 🙃

              • @BargainsGrabber: The S21 went on backorder during that ~$600 wicked wednesdays sale so I'm hoping they had to take that out of the catalogue last minute and replaced it with the S21+

                • @HomeAlone: Lol so the phone was never out of stock during that deal, they just stopped selling it for that price then brought it back for much more.

              • @BargainsGrabber: S21+ is $899 now.

    • +1

128gb is so small now you can't add micro SD card
(Only got 103 left of my 256) and I wouldn't call myself a heavy user

  • Any monitor for PS5? (I see a tv would be a better solution)

    • +1

Why would you want a monitor if you see that a TV is a better solution?

      • also play some pc games, and are going to move house, will buy a good tv but not now

  • Any comments on that TV? Will look in person tomorrow. I see the same brand 85" for double. Might have a look at that also

    • Big screen, tiny warranty.

      • Came out with LG C1 55” oled for $1998 with extra care repair warranty till 2027 and toddler tv strap. Very happy with my purchase.

  • Is the TV made in Germany, or is this a Chinese re-badge?

    • Based on the Amazon listing it says country/region of origin: China

    • Like a lot other brands they are no longer the original.

      Like JVC.

      • That sucks. I purchased a "Toshiba" TV many years back, thinking it was at least backed by Toshiba, but it was a very dodgy 13 in a dozen cheap and nasty Sino TV.

I totally get you can purchase great Chinese-made TVs from bigger players, like Sony and Samsung, so next time sticking with them.

        • Like car MG, I am not sure why people buy it, comments so bad.

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MG_Cars

The marque is now owned by state-owned Chinese company SAIC Motor Corporation Limited.

purchase great Chinese-made TVs from bigger players

Yeah, better buy TCL over a fake Japanese brand in comparsion.
