Great for some $9.99 Panadol (thanks for the tip @bargainsgrabber last time)

Alot of things at CW ends in a .99

    Cheers GYB

    • Need to stock up on this after getting the Influenza virus
      https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/63091/panadol-rapid-…

      Great timing, thanks GYB!

      • What is the difference between all the panadol products?

        • I always use the Rapid tablets as it works best for quick effect

        • +1

They are all mostly the same except for marketing (with 1-2 exceptions). There was an episode on ABC “the checkout” about it.

          • @internet-stranger: Biggest difference between the cheap and expensive is the cheaper brands feel more powdery and not as pleasant to put in mouth, the pill size is a bit bigger.

            • +1

@Stopback: Sorry. You are correct. The “dose and effect” are the same. You are paying for the coating/delivery/capsule/etc… the actual underlying drug is the same.

        • +10

Don't get sucked into branding. Just buy the home brand/pharmacy brand paracetamol. That's literally what you are paying for - the drug "paracetamol". The rest is marketing BS. Some of the "rapid", "advance", "extreme" may include caffeine (improves absorbrion). - just enjoy a cup of coffee instead.

If you're getting "rapid" results because you bought Panadol you're a sucker for the placebo effect.

Same applies for Neurofen - buy the drug ibuprofen - no difference whatsoever.

          • +4

@momptdeals: Biggest marketing ploy out there is "Panadol Osteo" that every single old person uses for osteoarthritis, back pain etc.

Panadol Osteo is anywhere from 10-30x more expensive than "regular" Paracetamol

When taken three times a day (2 tablets each time = max 6 tablets daily), Panadol Osteo has less Paracetamol content than the cheap/unbranded Paracetamol tablets (that you can take 4 times a day).

Essentially pay a huge markup for "Osteo" branding, with less Paracetamol content delivered over 24-hour period

  • Much better than "$3 bonus on $50 spend" deals!

    • If your closest location is not at your convenience, it is hardly worth it.

  • Too tight right now, cannot spend sorry

    • CW giftcard payment may void the bonus.

      • This is not clear

    • +1

just buy some panadol. You might need it

      • +1

I doubt panadol would cure symptoms of being a tight arse.

        • +2

buy some laxatives to get things moving

      • No point buying more panadol when i know the current ones will expire if they remain unused

  • Anyone tracked yet?

  • Would this stack with this $5 off >$5 purchase cashback?

Also I couldn't see any condition around prescription drugs, so I suppose they would qualify as well?

    • +2

Yep, fully stackable with that one, but I'd check out Chemist Warehouse's full T's and C's on our website for the full list of Dos and Don'ts before purchasing. Having a look one of their Don'ts reads: "Prescription purchases and Schedule 3 (S3) Medicines which are drugs that can only be dispense by pharmacist are not eligible for cashback."

      • Thanks mate, so I did read it somewhere :)

  • Love all these deals coming LOL

  • Not clear whether if I can redeem a gift card to qualify. In Exclusions it states "ShopBack Vouchers (Gift Cards)". The one I have is not related to Shopback.

    • +2

Hey mate, those exclusions are in ref to the referral bonus explained just above. On Chemist Warehouse's Dos and Don'ts on our website, they say the following under Dont's: "Promo codes, voucher codes and gift cards not approved by ShopBack (unless stated otherwise)", so I'd avoid when redeeming cashback.

      • Would buying gift card be eligible for cashback?

        • Hey hey! We don't get any cashback on gift card purchases that are made just via the store's website, I'm afraid.

  • hopefully it works…from my browser, the cashback keeps saying activate activate even though i activated it

    • Hmm, certainly sounds odd! Have you got the latest updated extension on your browser? If you can, using our app to shop can help if you're having trouble with the extension.

  • Slow ass shipping. ordered 5 days ago, still hasn't shipped.

    Good deal!

    • Good comment!

  • Thank you gyb.

  • Got some already half-price vitamins that I needed, click and collect some time next week (I like the 7 day c & c window)

  • +2

Gah, too busy working today to check Ozb…

    • Same here. Wish they post deal after work hours :(

  • +1

Wouldn't bother took 10 weeks for Panadol to arrive. They NEVER. Answered the phone or emails
Did a charge back on 10$ order just on principle after 4 weeks
6 weeks later I got the goods
    Then charge back was reversed
All I got was sorry and a 5$ voucher
    Never again

  • Can anybody recommend anything for 51c lol?
