Western Digital Elements 5TB SE Portable Hard Drive $145 + Delivery ($0 in-Store/ C&C/ to Metro) @ Officeworks

120

Been waiting for stock for this one, and it seems Officeworks Australia wide have updated their stock levels, at least here in SA.

Was $139 C&C not long ago, but stock got absolutely hammered.

$145 delivered to Metro for a 5TB Portable USB Hard Disk is a fantastic price IMO.

Model: WDBJRT0050BBK-WESN

Hmmm, I believe 25$ per GB is the standard benchmark for OZbargain ;).

  • OOS. The 4tb version is $127 though

I have 4 of these in my unraid server, good bang for buck but slow…Ok with a few SSD as cache drives

    • Are the WDs actually shuckable? Everything I've seen says no?

      • +1

WD portable hard drives are not shuckable. USB port is directly soldiered onto the internal HDD. There is no SATA connector.

I've found that only Seagate portable hard drives are shuckable. Any other brand is not so.

        • That's what I thought.

  • aaaaaaaaaaand its gone

  • Will jb price match?

    • Of course JB will price match against Officeworks. It's one of their direct competitors in the computer peripheral market.
