      Use scheduled transfer option (not sure if you can do on website but can on app). Just do a 0.01c test then the $50 if it works. OSKO was instantly failing but the scheduled one works. Must just be normal transfer. Just do it for the next possible date.

    have applied auswide, newcastle, so why not this one as well……. $150 is better than $100

      • It seems newcastle doesn't want customers from VIC. My account has just been blocked after successfully signing up and installing the app on my phone.
        My partner has money in the account, but also can't transfer it out anymore.

        • I'm in Vic and signed up yesterday.. But haven't tried signing in yet.
          edit: just added the app and logged in now.

          • @bohn: After successful ID verification and app registration, they still blocked our accounts. Both me and partner had to do ID verification again for their "security team" to review. Got an email later from InfoTrackID.

            • @johnmelb: They did try and ring me, but I didn't answer their call. Where did it show that your account was blocked?

                For my partner login worked, but transferring money was blocked. The debit card could be activated, but couldn't be added to paypal (declined).

                  • @bohn: I'm in vic, used Postal ID to verify ID and opened accnt, xferred 1801 in, then xferred 1800 out, not blocked, all working fine.
                    Used bonus50 as well.

  • To be able to transfer fund into IMB, use an account that not support Osko - else you need ID in branch.

    • example non osko ? auswide, newcastle permanent maybe? or citi everyday ?

    Finally able to transfer with Up but had to contact support to ask how to do it non-OSKO. What a pain but $50 is $50 and this is OzBargain after all.

    Reading the terms it seems to me that you are better off waiting until it's closer to the 31st of July so your $50 isn't locked up longer than it needs to be. That 50 could get you like 15 cents sitting in a BOQ saver account if you are under 36 or 11 cents sitting in your ING.

    Aside from the hassle of sending money to this bank, I can't seem to find anything in the online banking that allows you to send money out?

        I looked too. I don't see it. There's no option to transfer money to another bank account.

        My profile was setup as 'view-only' so I didn't have all the features on online banking like paying someone so I had to call up and get that fixed.

            • @bobwokeup: I remember ANZ did something similar quite some time ago. It was read only initially, and to actually send money I had to apply for it. Most new services let you do it by default. Not the case here obviously.

      Once it has money in account, the pay anyone option appears

        • hi, if you are using the app, log in, then in the screen called "account information" you'll see three dots in the top right corner. click that and a drop down menu should appear with the pay anyone option. I haven't actually used it yet but it's there. hope that works!

    I got them to call me, which I prefer, since I dislike waiting on hold. At first they seemed confused as to why it wasn't working, but then realized I needed a second password, and then gave me full access. I can see a lot of people needing this once we get the bonus $50, so you might want to do it ahead of time to save on the rush.

    Once you have full access, then it's just like any other online bank account, with with full access to transfers, BPAY and Osko.

      Day 1:
      Signing up attempt 1: Everything went mostly ok but it failed at the end with no reason given. I called up and they couldn't check why, but correctly suggested it might be that the address didn't match my ID and to try a new application, they also offered to send a paper sin up form if that didn't work.

      Signing up attempt 2: Signed up with old address and got further this time. Reached a kinda weird page that said something like: something went wrong, try again. There was an option for which account to sign up for.

      Signing up attempt 3: Third time was the charm, it was the same online form as previous two attempts but it seemed almost like you had to do it twice: once for membership, once for actual saver account. Or maybe I initially signed up for an account I was ineligble for?

      Day 2:
      Login details email arrived 24 hours after signing up, the older of the two temporary passwords was the only one that worked. Transferred $50 scheduled for tomorrow so it should go EFT not OSKO, hopefully it all works out from here! $50 is $50 and I've definitely done more for less. Good luck, all!

    the bonus special probably as a mark to give $50 (or due to i applied for the promo)
    but then what is expiry date entry?

    thanks everyone for the tips! osko payment from CBA got rejected, but when I scheduled it for the next day, it went through just fine and it's in the IMB account now.

  • Gosh they set you up as paper statements automatically and you have to change it to electronic. Didn’t think any companies did that anymore, even government entities have been doing paperless for years.

    My partner signed up for IMB, got the sms with password but didn't get the email.
    Asked online to get the email sent, but they advised my partner to come into a branch or call them … We didn't ask to send to a different email, just send the original one.

      • We called, and the guy shared the imb number after my partner went though verification (including code via sms).
        Clearly something wrong with their IT systems..

  • Did not work as I have two middle names and the system is not capable of understanding this.
    It automatically added an upper-score to the name so the ID check failed.
    Called and my only options are to either visit a branch (none in QLD) or get a paper application with all documents certified ^^

      I constantly have online ID check issues with my middle name too, but only a single middle name, on all my ID it is listed as a single letter, doesn't matter if I use the single letter(some don't allow that) or full middle name it 90% spits the dummy.

      For another bank I had them email me the Post Office ID forms and did it that way, worked fine.

    • If you click the goto deal at the top of this page it is showing on their site with an expiry date of 31st July.

      • Last month I think the promo showed up when you visited the IMB Bank website and clicked onto the Reward Saver Account product page. I think it might've been on Facebook too. Now it seems to have disappeared. Anyway, I've saved the promo link on this post in case they try to wriggle out of paying the $50.

      Fine print states it'll be payed within 15 business days of deal expiry, so could take upto 19th Aug to arrive.

    • Did you remember to close your account? Forgot about the $4 fee a month and account went into negative. Called up and asked to have the fees reversed and account closed without issue.

        I only checked last Fri if my $50 was in there. At the moment I'm keeping it open and doing the $1800 deposit each month. I'm using the free $50 for coffee meetups :-)
