I ended up using discounted gift cards and bought from a JB Deal (as mentioned in the comments) I am hoping the ability to walk into a JB Hifi could come in handy in the event of any issues.

JB Hifi wouldn't price match or beat the I-Tech deal because they don't know if they're a direct import. I also looked at Anaconda and their excuse was that it's a member only price and they weren't going to budge. I said it's preposterous because it's free to create an account. That's when they came back with the deal mentioned below - $798 combo and $38 128GB micro SD card. I only had access to 3% discounted JB Hifi cards so I managed to get it to about $811 after all was said and done. I decided to do it as I could walk in today and use it this weekend.

    It was $750 the other day on Amazon, and from DJI. I imagine it will come down a bit more too in the near future with the 3 out now

      Maybe a little bit I'm expecting DJI to keep this on the market as an option at this price point, they will lose sales if they only have the 3 as an option as the 2 is a good price point for people getting into this. If there is no 2 their sales in this bracket will be taken by the likes of hubsan.

    Pretty sure it was this price about a month ago (780$ delivered to Canberra), I went into jb and managed to get them to sell the same fly more combo for $800. Not as good but I needed it then so good for me. YMMV

    This looks pretty cool and just got me looking into lots of youtube vids on it… has a lot going for it, but does not have 'follow me' mode. Seems like bit of a gap. Any owners care to comment if it's that much of a loss, or any workarounds.
    I might still wander into JB and see if I can get a price match anyway.

      Unlikely. There's no stock anywhere. I bought mine from DJI directly and took over 2 weeks to send over from China. I blasted them online for this because was expecting local stock, but they ran out of stock on the first day considering I put my order down about a day after the announcement.

      Love the Mini 3 pro though.. It seriously is a huge upgrade even over the Mini 2 with so many new features.
