  • Review sounds hideous to me.

I have all the sets and it's certainly not the best, but it's far from the worst either.

      • +3

There's worse? This thing is garbage. It's amazing how they couldn't even align the blocks to give it more strength. Even a monkey could have done a better design through luck.

Maybe it was designed by a disgruntled ex-Masters employee?

        • +3

It really is the blurst of designs. You stupid monkey!

          • @Tiggrrrrr: blurst - bleeding and bursting. Usually refers to the bursting of blood out of one's crevices.

Not exactly the definition I was expecting, I was expecting it to mean "something starting with B" combined with "cursed" .

      • The warehouse is okay, fits together fine. The forklift is atrocious, macaroni and glue would have more structural integrity.

        • +2

We haven't got the forklift but the swingset one was pretty bad. My 9yo got the shits and gave up so I tried to do it for her and got it done but if you breath on it, it falls apart. Pretty disappointing as these sets could have been really great.

It's been this price since March,

    • Yep including the tiny add-ons also reduced in price.

    • +10

Wouldn't consider it a deal if it's standard price. And standard price since march so no deal. Also just horrible junk to f up the environment more and continue to encourage us all to being wonderful consumers that just wanna buy buy buy.

    Something something Lego something

  • +1

Seems worth it just for the baseplates

    • +3

Yeah, that's the reason I got it a while ago also for $10. Honestly, good value for the baseplates and extra pieces. We didn't build it as a Bunnings, just an extra addition to our Woolies shop. Can't fault it for $10…

  • +2

Might be the only thing they sell that hasn't increased in price every 6 months by 10%…

  • +3

Great Christmas present? You must be joking. I can imagine any kid receiving this as a Christmas present would be sorely disappointed.

    • Lmao yeah a pair of socks or jocks would be a better gift

    • +4

My girls love Bunnings, not for the content, but for the snags and playground. Any excuse to head down to the temple every weekend.

  • +3

    but why

  • +9

That’s some nice landfill you’ve got there.

  • +1

Does it come with sausage sizzles?

    • Yes. There is a little stand that comes with some sausages.

      • how about the million suvs and 4x4s out front

        • Nah, consider it your private VIP shopping experience.

  • The trolley is the worse thing ever sold, ever

  • bro i bought this cause i thought it was cool then i built it and its underwhelming it's reall small but cant complain for $10 but then i didnt have anywhere to put it so i put it back in the box and gave it away

  • Just what I needed to re-enact the sausage sizzle slip incident

    • +2

I can just imagine you with this model in court, "crying" as you see the logo from your newfound fear of shops, in your neckbrace with crutches, making it sound way more dramatic than it was, and smashing a legoman on the baseplate for effect …. yelling "the onion should have been on the bottom"

  • I got one set of this from the gordon shop (gone now) for free by the shop keeper… i mean 10 dollars is kina ok coz i don't expect much.

But if regular price then it's not a deal.

    • When was Gordon giving it out for free? Wasn't it sill $5 last days?

      • Just a one time courtesy as i was shopping with my kid lol

  • +2

This Bunnings cult is getting ridiculous now

  • +1

    hailcorporate

  • Finally, something to put next to my block Woolies.

  • Don't buy fake LEGO.

  • The stickers go over multiple blocks! Why!?!?!

  • Don't do it!

  • What is this junk…

  • And now you can pay to have tacky advertisements in your home. The era of corporatism and people embrace it. "My kid likes it"… your kid would also live off lollies and eat dirt if you left them to it :P

Gee, someone is very high and mighty. I guess you don't buy Apple products, or branded shoes and bags. To me, it's just a cute toy with questionable quality but at a correspondingly cheap price.

      • -1

And one that you don't have to put the brand stickers on anyway…

      • Avoiding unnecessary advertising isn't being high and mighty nor is pointing out that young children are poor at judging the pervasive nature of advertisements and the wastefulness of these kind of disposable products. Kids like shiny and new, it's up to adults to take opportunities like this to educate kids what is valuable and what is garbage. And yes I am fun at parties :D

        • -1

In what way are these 'disposable'?
My parents still have Lego from when I was a kid 30 years ago that my kid is now playing with. I have no doubt these would last similar if you want them too. These plastic bricks are tough as hell.

If you are treating them as disposable, then that's on you, not the product…
