Anyone knows what lounge access Philippine Airlines offer at Brissy/Gold Coast?

      • What are you talking about?

        • +1

His username absolutely doesn't checkout. Sounds like he thinks Philippines and Indonesia is the same place or something.

    • +2

They don't have a lounge at either, unfortunately.

    • Were using Qantas in 2019 but not sure now. Air France at SFO

    • +1

They used to offer premium plaza, however that has stopped (due to covid reasons aka closed during PR departure time).
Long story short, no lounge for business class at BNE.

Damn, would've been awesome if flight dates were right now, sneak a quick trip over to watch the Dubs clean up the Celtics.

    • Aren't ticket prices to warriors games (let alone an NBA game 5/6/7 finals game) crazy expensive?

      • +1

I'd expect decent tickets to cost more than the flights :)

You just have to copy and share the below declaration from the magna carta 1867 s19 onto your facebook wall and youll be exempt from this tyranny.

@yojabbajabba: I looked at this guys history and I wonder if he ever gets tired of making every single ozbargain post political.

I mean he somehow managed to make a post about skateboards political… or could just be a bot tbh

            guess your all Andrews Voters.

When your world view is so immense you don't even realise there are states outside Victoria…

            @RexHavoc: You are / you're.

          • +2

@RexHavoc: I’d vote for Dan Andrews dog if I could. God bless the saviour of Victoria

            • @Icecold5000: Long live Dan! I don't even live in Victoria, but I write his name down on my ballot paper regardless.

        • +1

Just stop, conspiracy theorists like you attacking Daniel Andrews just makes more people like him as they'll want to oppose conspiracy theorists.

          • +1

            @McSquintus: It's true.
I don't live in Victoria and have no strong opinion of him. Now after reading this thread I also want to vote for his dog.

Man, your lawyer must be sick of your shit lol

      • +2

Why would a lawyer get sick of getting paid haha

    • +1

I will be speaking to my lawyer.

Make sure you do some quick reading up on that "International Law" first, wouldnt want you looking foolish in front of 'your lawyer'..

  • Economy class is $2k+ atm so you're making me upvote a Philippine Airlines deal.

What a time time to be alive….

    • +1

Have you ever flown Philipine Airlines?

  • +4

The prince of cheap business class flights on weird legs.

  • $2,914 for new york as well, did you just happen to google to find these good deals op?

  • +2

what's with the philippine airlines hate? flown them before and had a great experience

      • +12

That’s a plus in my book. Thanks for giving me a reason to upvote this deal!

    • +5

I think people just see an SE Asian country and just assuming they are somehow inferior. It's disappointing, although honestly not really surprising.

  • +4

    19hrs stopover..

    • +1

Yeah I don't get why anyone would fly this route, making the journey incredibly long, unless you can (and want to) spend a couple nights in the Philippines.

      • how do you check how far you can push this stopover? i can only find buttons adjusting the departure dates, not the stopover duration/2nd-leg dates?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippine_Airlines#Accidents_…

Philippine Airlines has the highest safety rating of 7/7 according to AirlineRatings.com,[51] and was rated a safer airline than some of its Southeast Asian counterparts[52] such as Malaysia Airlines (3/7),[53] Garuda Indonesia (3/7),[54] Thai Airways (4/7),[55].

    Pretty good then!

    • Those "safety ratings" are 6 years old.

      • So? According to the article he linked the three incidents since that "safety rating" was issued have resulted in 0 injuries.

        • -1

          So?

He mentions 3 other airlines. The issue is about them, not PAL.

  • +2

this is an amazing deal assuming you can kick it in the business lounge on the stop over

    • Much better than the rest of T2, but nothing to write home about in the Mabuhay lounge.

Onboard service and seats in biz are great though.

  • +1

Unless things have changed, they do not serve hot breakfast. Can’t complain at this price though. And the product is not too bad.

  • +1

I hope Manilla airport has improved, stopped over there a couple of times just pre pandemic and it was terrible in terms of facilities and staff.

    • +2

      It has not.

    • +1

Terminal 2 that PAL fly out is horrible. The other terminals are decent.

      • I will try to avoid thanks

  • +1

Do note though MNL - SFO - MNL route is on the old 777s with 2-2-2 seats configuration. Unlike the MNL-JFK which is on the newer a350 with 1-2-1 configuration.
