    Hard to recommend these. I bought a bunch last year and they all no longer charge. I'm pretty sceptical they are MFi.

    they can be useful if you are charging your phone connected to your laptop, to avoid having a long cable all coiled next to it. But yeah, apart from that, can't really think of any other use.

    They're ideal for powerbanks, buy a $5.30 case, then buy a Baseus 30cm 3 in 1 USB cable this allows you to charge virtually any device,
    then finally buy the exact cables you need to charge your phone/tablet etc.
    Now you've got a neat little powerbank travel pack, the shorter the cable the better, so they can fit into your case!!

  These are pretty ordinary quality. We have given them a go twice now and both times the plugs have gone dodgy within 6 months.

    If that is the reason you're negging the deal, it's a pretty poor one, and I don't think it qualifies as a reason if you follow the OzB guidelines.
    Any electronic item is e-waste if it's disposed of without thought. I'm sure someone, somewhere needs this cable.
