LEGO® Technic™ App-Controlled 4x4 Mercedes-Benz Zetros Trial Truck 42129

RRP $499

Combine with $10 off with Target newsletter will be $289
https://www.target.com.au/enewsletter

This is an overpriced set at RRP and even 20% off, however at a 40% plus percent discount off RRP it is worth picking up.

This set is also rumoured to be getting 10% price rise on RRP in the coming months.

So now is the perfect time to add it to the lego collection. :-)

Enjoy

Alternatively, $299 at Amazon and Cashrewards

  • Yup. Good value at this price

Price is ok as this should never has a RRP $499, more like $349. However, even at this price, it is a boring truck extremely slow

No deal for me. Price is still too much. I'm sure we could see further discounts but I don't mind missing out.

Even at 299 reduced its a bit of a dull set.

      • hey, do you mind sharing your thoughts as to why it's a dull set?

Is it the design, the functionality, the build process? From what I can tell there's a lot of pieces so looks to be a pretty large set but that one metric doesn't encompass all the "fun" so would like to know more details

    • I agree 100% with you and was also waiting for this set in the mid-low $200s.

But it feels like the goal posts have shifted since the lego set price leaks have happened a few weeks ago.

This set has a rumoured 10% rise, which would make the already overpriced RRP increase to $549.

After that I think a sub $300 discount price is going to be extremely unlikely. IMHO

Yeah problem is the Lego motors are too slow. Have the 4x4 crawler and top gear rally car and so disappointing to find out how slow they are.

  • Note this is everyday price at target, 2 more weeks later we will see another 20% off.

    • If this is the new everyday price you are correct this will likely see a further 20% discount.

However, given that all other retailers have it for near RRP. I am guessing this is likely an error in displaying the discount (as opposed to changing the price to a red discounted one) and it will eventually go back up before the next 20% off period hits.

You can always hedge your bets by purchasing now and returning if it drops in price next sale (which is next week). :)
