  • looks like a good alternative to the apple pencil

    • Sarcasm? Or are you really fooled? Cannot tell.
This just emulates your finger. ie capacitive.

      • +1

im serious, i know its capacitive, but its also 1/10th of the price of the legit apple pencil. If you want to draw but not drop $150-200 on an apple pencil. 🤷‍♂️

You could just not buy Apple, if value matters.

I’ve got an Apple Pencil. But no matter how many times I press on the end, it still won’t write. I can’t pull the end off to check if there are leads in there, either. So I upgraded to the newer model. Same problem! And I can’t find any official Apple lead refills, so this must be a disposable item!? So unlucky to get two duds in a row… FML

      • +1

your device probably doesn't support the required digitiser technology

      • +1

Lead goes in from the tip you need to screw it off - weird I know. But because the the tip is solid without a hole, I tried drilling one but it broke!
Thanks for warning about the new model, I might just buy the Logitech crayon instead. But that only has one colour :(

        • I didn’t know that about the Logitech Crayon! I thought technology is supposed to liberate you, not stifle you?! Oh well

    Can anyone explain,
How is this different to those old stylus that used to come free with eBay & Aliexpress phone cases and screen protectors?
    Why is it powered?
Would it be pressure sensitive, ie does the tablet responds to different pressures?
Would it have some advantage over a finger on a tablet like Lenovo P11?

    • +1

Capacitive stylus has no electronics nor a battery. Active stylus has electronics that transmit location/pressure data even bluetooth for buttons on some pens.

      Battery

Depends on what type of digitiser its compatible with.

Yes, your fingers are fatter than this pen.

      • Thanks Krisspy

    • +1

The tip is significantly smaller for precision.

  • Which digitiser tech does this use? EMR/AES ?

  • Does this work with the galaxy tab a8?

    • Yes anything with a touchscreen.

      • Are we talking full functionality? As in palm rejection, pressure sensitivity?

          What does the listing say?

          • @Clear: Long life battery
            Ultra fine tip keeps touching
Like we were using a real pen

Numerous different digitisers being used on Android devices. One of the reviews say no way to regulate pressure…

        • Isn’t palm rejection a feature of the device (tablet)?

  • Mine arrived, looks pretty good but doesn't seem to allow many features on my gen 3 iPad Pro.
