Retailers have surplus supposedly budget cards, so it makes sense

Keep dreaming friend. Nvidia have just started coming back down to earth (as AMD the past couple months).

Next gen is gonna be a doozy. Why buy a million dollar 10MB 3080 when I can get $600 4070

      • $600 4070? Lol

        • We have supply now. TMSC node cost like $10 more per card. Why do you think they'll cost $1500?

It could cost up to $850 at launch but there is so much supply out there now. I don't think demand will ever become that high again. Not until next crypto cycle anyway. People buy 1 GPU per person, miners buy 10 or 200.

Miners won't want to keep their cards now lol. Begin the great sell off. Farms will be downsized into hobby rigs

          • @Jimmy77: You're very optimistic with that price.
Anyway, time will tell, no one knows the RRP yet, we don't have any dates or tests, it's all just rumours, leaks and speculation.

            • @beeze: Speculation indeed. According to the fanfiction twitter leaking expanded universe it will be faster than 3090.

        • $600 us is possible, but not au. The 2070 was about $700 au I think? We've had a 3070 down to about $750, I don't really expect the 4070 to be much cheaper if at all.

        • Lettuce is $20 a kilo and that guy dreamin $600 4070 LOL…

          • @[Deactivated]: Raw materials and energy through the rough yet GPU's will release and multi-year lows. Righto then.

    • My man you're upset at 7am in the morning. Must be a very bad day innit?

      • More like very bad the night before…

  • About the same price that happened during the afterpay sales:

Not too bad if you missed out then.

My 970 from GIGABYTE is still going strong. HODL until the 4000 series

    • Same. EVGA FTW+. I'm running the memory at 8gbps 256 bit. I look at the RX6600 14GBPS with only 128 bit and lol

    • I'm running a 1070 on a 4k 144hz monitor, it feels so bad not being able to use all the hz available but i can't buy one of these cards today then have it worth 500-600 come October.

I am using a 2K 120hz monitor. What I did was run game in 1080p only and the full resolution while non-gaming activity and Non-PVP game
