Amazon Prime Day 2022 (Tuesday 12 July - Wednesday 13 July)

From press release:

16 June, 2022 – Amazon Australia has today announced the date for its annual Prime Day shopping event,
giving Prime members access to huge savings during the world’s longest Prime Day. The massive shopping
event will kick off at 12AM AEST 12 July, with local deals running for 48 hours until 11:59PM AEST on 13
July. Deals from the UK and US will be available on Amazon.com.au through Amazon Global Store until
5pm AEST on 14 July, giving Australian Prime members access to a massive 65 hours of deals.

If you aren't already a prime member, it's $6.99 for 1 month, if you aren't eligible for a 30 day free trial. You might like to wait until the day before joining as a member, and then sign up if you see a deal you like that needs prime. If you wanted it more long term, it's $59 for a year which is 30% cheaper. You also get access to Prime Video and some other extras (see prior link).

While those who aren't interested in prime can block the Amazon Prime Day tag here, by clicking on the … menu in the top right hand corner then clicking hide on new deals and/or front page. Ensure that you are using the list front page for that setting to work.

The Prime Day 2022 Sales Page is active now.

Most of the today's deal items have much better low pricing before.

Hope tomorrow we see much better deals. Philips airfryer is in the list.

  • Anyone knows how much amazon was charging for the Lego Guardians of the Galaxy ship? It's out of stock now sadly but curious to know how much they had it for

Does Camelcamelcamel help? If you paste the link there, it usually gives you a full history of the pricing, though personally never tried for OOS items

  • Not many lightning deals this year yet… anyone reckon it might be better tmr?

Switch OLED $399 Delivered, if anyone was holding out. One of the better deals today.

Is it me or is this Amazon sale underwhelming? or just same old crap at same prices.

    • This is just supermarket strategy - a few cut price deals to get your eyeballs and and wallet open for the same old crap as before.

    • A lot of these prices aren't even very good, lego and toys etc i haven't seen anything go below what K-mart or Big W frequently reduce them to.

  • General PSA for any HCF members, dont forget the 4% gift card offer,

Oh dear - Amazon has turned in to eBay this year - I purchased this cable

    earlier this week for $1.20
    AMAZON prime day price $2.00!

  • it's been so disappointing.. there's no exciting sales or products

So far, only bought some Bundaberg Soft Drinks and some wipes for my glasses. Great prices on both (approx 50% discount on both) but disappointed there weren't more worthwhile sales.

Very Disappointing, even looking at things I bought last year are up for lightning sales atleast 20-30% more.

  • I really tried very hard to find stuff to buy but there is very little worth considering

  • I definitely got some good prices on ecowitt weather station stuff. Everything else is a pretty major disappointment.

  • Amazing deal for SN850

  • man what a terrible year

Me: "Maybe they left the best deals until the last night?"

    Narrator: "They did not".

    • This was also what I was thinking so I held off buying anything. By the time I realised it wasn’t happening most of the OK sales were out of stock.

  • No more 1 day delivery for prime items? For most items they are estimated to arrive near the 20th or so, does this happen often?

    • Amazons been doing that for awhile, most items are still 1-2 days.
Coke and Pepsi bought yesterday, shipped today and due for delivery tommorrow - posties going to love me.

Seems like they didnt activate any new FLEX drivers, and instead sent all the ex workers a "rejoin and get $500" thing, uber and others offer. So they still have a shortage of drivers.
They were offered free lollies, drink bottle and lottery tickets (I kid not).

    • Yeah I noticed this. I think it's because there are less drivers due to price of petrol and logistics issues

  • I bought the qanba crystal for my ps5 pretty happy with that. Also got Brita filters. Both were good prices

  • Damn despite 10mins left, seems the item I wanted has been pulled already from the sale and its now only $2 cheaper then everywhere else.

  • Not many deals this year but I needed car booster seats for kids and with the cashback from cash rewards under $100 which isn't bad. While prime gave 25% off RRP

Returns and warranty would be good if any issues. Pretty much only advantage, free delivery no need to go to baby shop and lug them back

  • Nothing that good this year, heck eBay plus has been better than this
