    (RRP $1499)

    joke

at that price, I would expect really really good local dimming. This is basically just a dell s2721dgf which is regularly sub $500

That RRP is hyper inflated. Most monitors in this class are $400 to $700 RRP these days.

    • But this comes with RGB!

        Most monitors do :)

And most that don't either come with WRGB, or BGR (which is RGB but upside down)

        • I think he means its got RGB lighting along the front of the stand.

          • @helicopeter: I am aware. It was just a joke that evidentially didn't land.

    • Razer's RRP are always inflated (just look at the RRP for any of their peripherals).

This is a terrible screen even at half the price

    • Bingo, non-competitive with even the budget $300-$400 options at the moment in terms of motion resolution.

Not a well-tuned monitor at all.

  • Honestly not tooooo bad considering the 'Razer', 'RGB' and 'Gaming' Tax, dont think monitors like these usually come with USB-C.

  • How does this compare to the samsung G50 for $299?

    • literally pointless to get anything else for gaming other than that samsung odyssey at the price of 299 (at least in terms of 144-165hz wqhd IPS monitors), but im not sure if those are still available for 299 as they've been very hot over the past 5 days

  • 350 nits is pretty dim. I would stay away from this.

    • It's an indoor monitor - you aren't going to be using it in the sun, 350 is more than enough. If you're working with apps with big white area then you'll be turning the brightness down anyway unless you want to sear that Excel sheet right into your eyes šŸ˜Ž
