    I use Google (e.g. 9lb in kg) or WolframAlpha (e.g. 1 us cup butter in grams) for all my conversions, not too sure about the utility of a standalone app…

    Pro version is meant to have up to date currency exchange rates. Well the app is currently quoting rates from 29 June 2018 …. not quite as up to date as I'd like so it's a no from me :(

    App download size = 3.22MB. What's the chance that this app is doing most or all conversions via Google search in the background?

      A few math lines of code wouldn't take anywhere near 3.2MB, most that would be taken up by UI stuff I guess.

      I would expect that some of the conversions, like Bitcoin for example, would be using an external query API for sure.

      But why would a static algorithm (ie. lb to kg) need an external lookup? That would be wasteful and slow.

    Installed and Uninstalled. Currency conversion was showing rates from 2018 by default.
