      • Or you can get additional 10% off using Xbox gift card if using gift card still gets cashback.

Out of curiosity, how does this compare to a Logitech G502 Lightspeed?

    • Good question. Just had my g502 refunded because of a double click issue, and not convinced it won’t happen again.

    • I had this, and replaced it with a G602.

This is crap. Battery is not rechargeable, so it goes through an AA battery every month or so.

The Bluetooth interferes with other wireless audio devices. The Bluetooth drop out consistently.

The other bigger problem is it struggled to denounce right click. In my one I could not right click and drag.

Honestly pay a bit more and get something decent.

      • I'm having that right-click issue as well after almost a year. Apparently the "clicker" module in these are cheap and break down easily. I like the mouse but it's not the greatest build quality.

    • I've been using mine on 2.4GHz for about a year (bluetooth latency is horrible for all mice). I have changed the battery once and haven't had a single issue. I do turn it off between sessions using the switch underneath if that makes a difference.

Also it travels in my bag to and from work and has held up quite well so far.

The G502 Lightspeed is more comparable to the Razer Basilisk Ultimate. This Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed is more of a budget version.

      some rtings links

      * Razer Basilisk Ultimate vs Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed

I have the Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed as well as a G502 Lightspeed. Prefer the Logitech mostly because of infinite scroll, but the Razer gets used on the TV for M&K gaming. More than happy with mine and I'm pretty sure it's still got it's original battery.

Battery life seems to be rather poor, they should have designed it to use AA batteries instead of AAA.

    • +1

It does use AA, but it would last longer with D batteries

      • Microsoft's website has wrong info.

Battery life is even worse than I thought, I would give up some of the gamer stuff for better battery life.

        • I have this mouse & it's not bad… Occasional freezing of the mouse is a pain but thanks to Ozbargain's,
I have a plethora of eneloop rechargeable batteries, so battery limitations does not concern me ;-)

What's poor battery life? I use mine everyday in 2.4ghz mode for gaming and get months out of it.

      • +1

Just reading Amazon reviews, it seemed like one month on 2.4GHz was the norm with daily use. Maybe I'm just out of touch or expecting too much.

        • I play Lost Ark for hours every day. It's HEAVY mouse usage and I get probably around 3 months on a single AA battery.

          • @DASHCAM NOW DUDE: Well officially it was supposed to last 285hrs on 2.4GHz, so if you used your mouse 10hrs a day a month would be about right. Bluetooth is rated for 450hrs, but I really don't like BT for mouse and keyboard.

My last experience with a wireless mouse that used AAs was the Logitech M570, that guy lasted months on end. Currently I'm using an MX Ergo which needs a recharge pretty much every month, which I'm surprised annoys as much as it does.

I got one and this is definitely the case. Mind you, I use eneloops in mine.

  • +4

I have two of those, both powered by enelops and it's by far the best mouse I ever owned. Don't even know what's the battery life but I don't remember last time I had to swap it. For my hands it's just perfect.

  • OK Hivemind, I own a G502 for home, and considering purchasing a Basilisk for work in office and transporting it… should I buy this one? or bite the bullet and buy an MX Master?

    • I am of the same boat tbh. I have a G305 at home. considering this for transporting around

      • +1

I bought mine on Amazon for $5ish more, just incase i need to return. It's pretty much the same as the g502 form wise…just significantly lighter (i put all the weights in mine… i like a heavy mouse).

I won't be in office again till next weke..but can update you then? i'm sure it'll be fine… I'm too cheap to buy MX Keys / MX Master lol…. so i got a Keychron K2v2 and the Razer mouse…. my only problem with the K2 is that I wish it had a usb adaptor, and/or it had a slot to take a usb adaptor for the Razer…ahh well!

        • yeah look forward to your review! I have a gmmk pro myself and i agree that these keyboards don't really have a usb adaptor slot for any additional input

  • Got this mouse last week from Microsoft eBay for $57. So far impressed - I use it mainly for work but also some gaming.

  • How good is the shopback tracking on Microsoft do you reckon? Maybe going by choice gift card ebay cashrewards + this ebay plus deal is better D:

  • In Microsoft site this is now $99
