Picked up the 7 Actives last week. A class about the pair of 75t Actives I had.

    • Was looking at getting either the 7 Actives or 75t Actives. How do you find it on calls?

Also IIRC TGG is doing 7 Actives for $178 but with $50GC.

Edit, was HN not TGG, my bad! https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/703701 Thanks /u/boshorus!

      What's improved?

      • +1

        New AND improved!

      • +1

I have the 75t. I think the Elite 7s work with 1 on either ear instead of just the right like the 75t

  • +8

Elite 7 Active also have a $50 Harvey Norman gift card that comes with purchase.

    • Can you please elaborate? Thanks!

      • +3

Don't worry, simple googling explained it all! but good eye mate!

      • +2

When you buy the Elite 7 Active you also get a $50 Harvey Norman gift card after purchase which can be used to purchase whatever you want from their store

  • I've had a paid of 75t, then one ear piece stopped working. Then bought a pair of 85t which is a big upgrade on 75t. Unfortunately I lost one piece of the 85t.

I just got a pair for Elite 7 pro. So far it's OK, but I reckon is a down grade from 85t in terms of fit and sound quality.

    • What was better about the 85t?

    • +2

Just in case you haven't already seen similar troubleshooting pages, usually factory reset if one earbud is not working

I have the 75t and find that there is a small hole that gets blocked that makes it seem that one ear piece is not producing sound, it will still react to the button press but no or little sound.

I usually use a staple to clean it out and have stopped being gentle.

        • Came here to say this. It works.

Also, don't forget to clean your earbuds.

    • I just bought replacement 75t buds direct from Jabra
They might have 85t as well

Is Beats Fit Pro better than 7 Active/Pro? Looking to buy a pair of ANC true wireless earphones for aroud $200. Thanks.

Had the 75t actives before, which one of these is the most similar?

    • Are these legit?

    • +1

Reviews on the Aliexpress page say they're fakes. Pretty likely.

  • I thought early reviews of the Elite 7 Pro said call quality was disappointing. But reviews on Amazon now seem to praise the call quality.

Has there been software updates or something since launch?

    • I had XM4 headphones, hands down best music quality for the price bracket but awful phone calls. Swapped it in at JB after Sonys warranty ended for the 7 pros and haven’t had a complaint yet

    • +3

No still terrible. Sometimes Apparently I’m either under the water, sound robotic or in a tunnel.

Do these work well with windows?

I have a few pairs of Bluetooth headphones/earphones that work perfectly with Android phone, but as soon as it is used a headset on Windows, the microphone quality goes down. Online research indicates issue is with windows Bluetooth bandwidth so I assumed all Bluetooth headsets will be the same?

    • +1

I think rtings reviews usually test for latency with PCs vs with phones. Might be worth checking there.

    • Works with windows on the laptop fine

  • Usual price on GG commerical if you have access to it

  • I love my Elite 7 Pro , they have been around $200 for some time now.

  • Those with 7 Actives or Pros, any comment on fit while working out? I would like to replace some JBLs but am wary of wireless earbuds without wings for exercising…

  • These or Galaxy Buds 2? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/707181 Assuming the deals return.
Plus, how certain are you that we can claim these on tax as an employee?

  • Guessing these aren't massive enough upgrade from 75t?

    • +2

Had the 75t and now have the 7 active. Not a noticable audio up/downgrade, but being able to use either side earbud independently is such an upgrade.

Got it from amazon at the 178 price a few months ago. Would recommend

Will any of these fit easily under a motorbike helmet without getting knocked off as I put them over my melon?

  • Splitting 4 ways on ding dong pay at kb chickies

  • If you have a Friends of Jabra account, the Elite 4 Active is $107.40 on the Jabra website.

The other models are similarly priced as the other shops mentioned above.

I.had 65t before, which is very good with sound quality and fit my ear. Last year I have upgraded to 75t active, nothing improve but it always drop off from my ear and finally i lost it. Now, i am using elite 4 active, which sound quality is a little bit worse than 65t but it is cheaper, lighter And fit my ear well

    Active 7 review.

-Sound quality is about regular AirPods. They’ve got small drivers but didn’t expect them to be that average.
-They feel amazing. Love the rubberised body.
-ANC about the level of AirPod Pros. Very good.
    - Has tactile buttons: Actual buttons are the only way to go if you like showering with them on. Given all the focus on sweating or IPX ratings lately, I don’t see the point in touch sensitive headphones if a little water will cause your headphones to pause your music, skip tracks etc. (which they certainly do).
-Shake grip. Here’s the reason I returned mine. They fit well if a little deep, but after about 2 weeks they would just slide out of my ears. Can’t explain it. They went from great to garbage thankfully within the return period.
-calls. Average. I’m back using the airpod pro for calls now.
I think the best overall headphone for cost is the Soundpeats mini pro. If you don’t mind spending Beat Fit Pros.

    • I’ve got both 7 Pros and the AirPods Pro and I don’t think the Jabra’s ANC is comparable. The AirPods continue to delight me every time - to get almost Bose QC35-like NC from buds - wow. Whereas the Jabra’s ANC is like all the other non-Sony / non-Bose headphones I’ve owned (plantronics, audio technica etc) - ok, but good passive blocking would be just as effective. Apart from that, the Jabra’s are pretty good - loving the extra battery life.

    • Shame on the call quality, the one thing that drew me to this thread is the Jabra name and assumed they'd keep improving that part. Wasn't impressed with the call quality on my 65t so probably shouldn't upgrade.

I know earbuds aren't a great idea for calls, but something I can use properly at home without sounding terrible shouldn't be too hard.

Curious where are you buying from that will let you return earphones for change of mind? I bought some from JB and after looking at the policy they state no change of mind for opened earphones due to hygiene

      • Amazon but you may have to pay return shipping for change of mind ($8).

        • Amazon. I’m a prime member so no return cost.

          • @BusMan247: Is that true? I'm with Prime and tried returning an item and they wanted $7.99 to return it.

            • @Yuri Lowell: Try different reasons for return, some will charge some won't.

  • Was almost swayed to the 7 Pro but that $50 gift card seals the deal on the Active 7 at HN. Great deal.

  • I have owned the Elite 75t's for just about 2 years now and love them, still have an excellent battery life and just overall great quality. Cannot complain.

  • I have the Elite 75t's too for about 2 years now and I still enjoy them to this day. I wanted a cheap pair for work with long battery life and multipoint connect. which Jabra's should I go for? Im really considering the Elite 3.

    • Elite 3's sound great, make clear calls and are really comfy. Main negative is there's a mildly audible hiss that is constantly present. More noticeable during quiet parts of the music. Also only connection to 1 device at a time.

  • The Jabra earbuds have a great call quality, but if you just want to listen to music you can get cheaper ones.
