    any washing machine deal ?

  • -3

Any dishwasher deals? Ideally looking for a Bosch series 6 or equivalent

    Any stovetop deals?

  • +1

Do they use a lot of power

    • +4

It is a heat pump dryer so about as good as you'll get. 7 stars vs 2 for a normal vented dryer.

  • +3

We've got one of these and they're fantastic. Doesn't humidify the room much, power usage is a fraction of what the previous vented dryer would use and it dries things in a decently quick time - I especially love how quiet it can be if used on silent mode, a big plus with sleeping toddlers

Only complaint is after less than one year of use (heavy use by most standards. Large family, lots of washing) it leaks water out the front when doing large loads like towels. It's not a huge problem as it only runs into the drain anyway but it is somewhat annoying. We're yet to try the Electrolux warranty claim process.

    • +2

Have you tried cleaning the condenser?

      • +1

Yep, including the little door at the front too as it seems it needs to be at a certain water level to run properly - my first thought was dirt was causing an imperfect seal. No luck :(

    • +3

i discarded the water chamber and have a hose running to the sink. that way you dont need to empty the cannister

      • +1

We initially had just the water container but over the weekend redid the laundry and it dumps straight into the drain now - i'd hoped there was a slight leak somewhere in the water storage bit causing the leak, but unfortunately it's no different since the relocation.

I had been watching the esatto but this looks great judging from the reviews, so I'll get this instead. Thanks for posting OP!

there are many 9 star energy rating heat pump dryer.
Still, why do you have no choice but to buy this product?

    • +3

someone is holding my family hostage

    • +5

9 star ones mainly don't have reverse tumble action due to power saving, so there's a higher chance of sheets tangling. This one does have the feature. In terms of electricity usage, there's not that much of a difference, maybe $0.3 per load.

      • +3

This is really good point, thx

  • +2

Heatpump dryers are fantastic. Make sure you are really neat cleaning the lint filter (it's usually a double filter and you should be rinsing it every 10 uses). When lint gets to the heat pump it gets expensive. The device will last much longer.

I've been looking at this dryer for quite some time, looks like the regular price. Don't look at rrp, it's nowhere near this in any store.

I'm waiting for two new Beko machines to come in JB HiFi.

    Washer: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/beko-bflb902adw-9kg-auto-…

    Dryer: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/beko-bdpb802sw-8kg-heat-p…

Buying these as Beko products are generally good (made in Europe and not China) plus they have 5 years warranty. Will stack gift cards.

    • +2

My Chinese made Bosch washer and hot water system never missed a beat in the past 9 years.
European made (Turkey in this case) won’t guarantee you a 100% good product, and the gap is closer and closer, Tesla for example.

    • +1

Any idea on expected ETA for the Beko dryer?

      • +2

Yeah checked with JB, they said first week of July and they only had 7-8 orders for now.
Best to go in local JB so they can arrange premium deliver (which is not available for online orders).
I'm waiting for JB's 5-10% sale to stack with giftcards.

      • +1

        Actually looks good.
Not sure if I should get BDP83HW now from AO or wait for BDPB802SW to come in stock.

    • +4

So the Electrolux above is made in Poland not China. Plus you can get factory extended warranty to 5 years for fairly cheap (think its $120-150 from memory). Would trust an Electrolux more than a Beko, just google the number of Beko heat pump fires.

Also just be aware that some heat pump dryers have a reverse feature (which just ‘unwinds’ the drum for 10-15 sec) and others like this Electrolux actually run on reverse for a few minutes every few minutes.

      • +1

On a budget so Beko seems a better option for me.

In terms of reverse, how can I be sure if its the unwind feature or reverse run for a few minutes?

      • +1

Any idea how to get the extended warranty? Do you contact Electrolux directly?

        • +1

Its a card that comes inside the drum. I think you have 90 days after purchase to do it.

In terms of the drums and reversing, the best info I found was on Choice. It seems to be more the Bosch and Miele ones which say reverse but dont do a good job at it.

          • +1

@tissue: Awesome. Just picked one up for the new house. Will redeem the warranty straight away.

      • Hey tissue.

Do you know if all the Electrolux heat pump dryers reverse tumble for a few minutes each way or is it only for the more expensive models?

Do you know any other heat pump dryers that reverse tumble as good as Electrolux?

    • +1

Have had a few Beko appliances and never again, dishwasher and a washing machine. Multiple returns and repairs, eventually left them in the house we sold after either the last replacement or repair

  • +1

thanks OP, was able to get it for $1,118.70 with a different code, assuming it was for my ebay plus. Hope I won't regret cancelling the Bosch Serie 4 for this.

  • +1

Was consider this Electrolux dryer with their 10kg Washing machine, but found out it only has a cold water inlet.

Considering going with Fisher and Paykel 11kg washing machine and 9kg dryer as it has both hot and cold inlets which, paired with a heatpump hot water tank should be more energy efficient. The FP dryer is also more energy efficient compared to this one.

    • +1

the machine heats the water doesnt it

      • +1

Yes both washing machines will heat the water, but it'll use more energy compared to using already hot water on via a heatpump/solar hot water tank.

  • +1

Damn, I can't order it on eBay for the discounted price (1118) to ACT. On their website though my postcode can get the free delivery. Bummer.

    Might just get the Esatto..

  • +1

damn ebay cant deliver, website also doesnt wanna deliver but i called they said their system was down. hope i can still order at 1243

  • +2

Bugger, not available to Victoria. 😔

  • +2

We don’t move in to our new house for another 5 weeks. Anyone know if I can schedule delivery for then after checkout?

    • +1

      Edit: you can!

  • Does anyone own this dryer? I bought one but haven't used it with wet clothes, we mostly hang them to air dry and then when they're still damp, chuck in the dryer, but the dryer doesn't like it. It ends the cycle after 5-10 mins even though the cycle could be a few hours. The clothes are still damp though. Does this sound like a fault or by design?

  • Have you adjusted the water hardness?
