I have the travel version (Powerpod 66W) and it works well. Have just picked up one of these to replace the bulky OEM charger I carry around.

  • How do these compare to the HAYMIX brand?

    • +6

not as good for feeding livestock

    • +1

Heymix are pretty risky based on the reviews.

This brand is an unknown to me. The reviews on Amazon aren't great for this charger.

Personally, i'd stick with first party chargers or reputable brands if I needed a multi-port - Satechi, Anker, Belkin, Zendure Samsung, Apple etc.

      • Thanks mate, I primarily want a travel charger with switchable outlet plugs (rather than carry around multiple travel adaptors)

The only ones on Amazon I could find are the Heymix and Zyron ones.

Nowhere near. This particular charger is manufactured for us by Heincro that also manufactures for Baseus. Powerpod-66 manufactured by same as Hyper Juice manufacturer. Powerpod-PRO 108 same as Comsol (sold in Officeworks), Deskpod manufactured same as Alogic.

Both Powastone 65W and 120W uses Navitas GaNFast Power IC that are used in Anker GaN chargers as well.

      • Cool, yeh interested in the powerpod 66w. Seems to be better reviewed than the Heymix one.

You reckon it'd be possible to pop on a promotion on your amazon listing for the PowerPod 66w GaN charger. If you could match the 39.99 price I'll pull the trigger. 😄😄

Both Powerpod & Deskpod upgraded package will be listed on the EOFY deals section soon :)

          • @ibelievesyd:

            Deskpod

Is the Deskpod 156W a GaN based charger? It does not look to be the case but it is listed under GaN chargers.
            Likewise, for the Minipod 30W?

@DoctorCalculon: Yes you are right. Both are Super Si chargers. Our menus will change in our upcoming new website. More informative for buyers to understand the different chargers we have. Proper comparison feature for buyers to understand the differences. There will be unboxing and video demonstrations added too to help buyers decide better. FAQ will be far more detailed. it will take probably couple of months for the changes (Apologies for the delayed response as we get higher than usual orders during sale period)

              • @ibelievesyd: a table comparing them would be helpful

I'm also keen to buy a powerpod 66W at the price of your previous bargains!

      • Multiple reviews for one of your other chargers mention it burning.
        https://www.amazon.com.au/Zyron-Australia-smallest-Compatibl…

Reviews of several of your chargers on Amazon say that the charger died.

So how exactly are these better than the unsafe Heymix brand?

        • The first one that appears on top is a fake review. Don't believe? See the links below:

So called Vine Reviewer posts "fire hazard. Buyers be aware review" in Nov 2021 on our listing
          https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/customer-reviews/R4K4U8DHNF74R/…

Later buys same product again and posts positive review in Jan 22
          https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/customer-reviews/R33GG7JOZV27JC…

If a person really faced fire hazard, why would you buy same product again??

If you check that Vine Reviewers history you would know how positive and negative reviews are manipulated. We have already raised this up with Amazon on the attack.

We have sold so many on Ebay and our own website but never got any such complaints.

Chargers can stop working, no doubt, but we do have warranty policy for that.

          • @ibelievesyd: So your product is the same as the Heymix one in this case?

            • @rogerm22: Yes they copied our 66W charger. So probably that's the reason same person posts fake and degrading hazardous review on our product and then 5 star on identical product a month later. We have been discussing this with Amazon to take action.

          • @ibelievesyd: Not only have you not replied to my second post, I want to raise a few points. You refer to one potentially fake review. What about the other reviews which mention the charger burning? Are they fake reviews too?

Yes, chargers can stop working, but it seems that your products have a very high failure rate. Your products don't have a lot of reviews, but there are a number of reviews mentioning that the chargers failed. Surely if your products were of good quality there would be a much lower failure rate.

            • +1

@rogerm22: there are only 2 reviews about burning to be specific out of 46 reviews. One is fake which obvious above and the other one never responded to us to understand what and how it happened.
Other 4 failure reviews, 2 unverified reviews:
              https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/customer-reviews/R31KWTRV4VCFI7…
              https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/customer-reviews/RWXJHH2OAJGRA/…
And 2 with just 1 review in their account:
              https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/profile/amzn1.account.AEGQFHSJW…
              https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/profile/amzn1.account.AFRYJB5PN…

If you believe these are genuine reviews, why no one ever posted anything on Ebay which is open source too??

To add further, these reviews and the failure rate you mention are not based on 50 or 100 orders. We have sold more than 5K Powerpod 66 charger.

We are not the only one who sell this 66W charger. Even famous brand like Hyper Juice has the same 66W charger in their catalogue.

If you open Amazon and search Satechi, you'll find their products fail too

If this 66W or any other of our chargers were really hazardous, we would stop selling immediately.

Why do you think we don't have same chargers as Heymix in our brand? You think we cannot source them and sell? We can do that easily and double our profits but we test every product rigorously for 3 months continuously under load and get them SAA certified before we add them to our brand.

              • +1

@ibelievesyd: There 8 out of 26 Amazon reviews which mention that the charger failed. I don't know why you are mentioning eBay. Reviews on eBay are left when someone receives a product, which no option to edit the review later. Someone can leave a 5-star review and if the product fails a few days, weeks or months later, there is not way to change the review. In that regard, Amazon is a much more reliable source of reviews.

Having said that, it does seem from your comments that you are trying to sell quality products which is good. But I do find it a bit concerning that 8 out of 26 reviews mention that product failed. Sure, chargers can fail. But in 23 years of using mobile phones, I've never had a brand name charger fail, only cheap no name brand ones.

                • +1

@rogerm22: My only answer to your comment is that I am pretty sure when Belkin, Anker or any other named brand started they wouldn't have started at 0% failure rate. We've started just a year ago and for sure we'll be working to improve in all areas in years to come.

  • If anyone has both the Zyron and the Baseus model: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/705598, could you please comment on which one you would prefer?

  • Doesn't this (profanity) up your batteries?

    • +2

I wouldn't think so (unless it is faulty unit an exposes the wrong voltages), ultimately the USB-C device you are charging determines which voltage it chooses and manages the charging cycle of it's own batteries.

  • Has anyone received and tried this 100w one? When my iphone is plugged in this i can fill very light current going through aluminium borders

    • you have multimeter fingers?

      • Yeah probably. But bad tingling sensation. Almost burning. Apparently it’s going to be replaced

  • Will there be a GAN3 version of the 120w charger?

  • Don’s buy this model. I bought two, both come with an issue that the phone/iPad shows charging but actually not. Tried with different cable and phones, happens about 1/10 chance.
