  • This one of the cat and dog with the hepa bags?

    • +4

This is bagless version and I believe not as good as the bagged equivalent (anecdotal evidence only).

      • How much do the bags cost?

        • Circa $6 each depending on when and where you buy them.

This machine can vacuum cat and dog?

    • +1

Tube extension is long enough to vacuum spiderpigs also

  • +2

Bit expensive for this kind of vacuum cleaner.

    • +1

Completely agree. Feels hard to justify anything over $400 for a manual device using relatively old tech (even if it has a Miele badge). Happy to pay $600-800 for a robovac as it saves me time every day and does a better job, usually while I'm sleeping.

      • No Robovac will do better on Carpet than a canister Miele.

It wouldn't have enough power to move itself against the suction it would generate.

I disagree, compared to $1000+ stick vacs this is a great deal.

      • +1

Thats just like saying compare to a porsche a hyundai is a great deal. paying 1k for a stick vacuum is silly.

        • Agreed. Paying 1k for a stick vacuum is silly. Lol

It’s made in Germany. So you’re paying for that, full labour laws, high pay rates, etc. I usually am happy to pay more for that, plus supporting their economy.

  • Choice reviewed Vacuums in January

For comparisons the Dyson Light Ball Multi Floor + scored 81% the Miele Complete C3 Cat & Dog PowerLine SGEA3 79% Miele Compact C2 Powerline SDAB4 76% and the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Multifloor Extra 75% as well.

Also interesting the Miele Classic C1 Powerline SBAF3 & Miele Compact C1 Young Style Powerline SCAB3 were also 75% but reccomended.

The Miele Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog Powerline SKCR3 was rated 74% and missed a reccomendation.

This doesn't mean its a bad vacuum at all but you can get the better C3 for $556 at Appliances Online.

    • We want the bagless for one, bagless and 2, the hepa filter does not need replacning where the C3 will need an expensive consumable each year.
We have a 12 yr old Cat and Dog bagged model and dont want to keep with the consumable train.

      • How is it possible a filter will never need replacing?

At some points all filters need cleaning or replacing.

        • Hepa filter not replaced but you need to clean the fine durst filer approx 6 monthly.

    • oh and on the Dyson site itself, the Cinetic Big Balls rated VERY poorly, under 50%.

If you're getting a Miele, get the full fat, bagged C3. It can be clunky to use but best vacuum I've owned by a country mile

    • is it better than the famous henry?
