This isn't really a great deal, it's far below S tier, more like bottom of gen4. Better to spend 25$ and get wd850 or something

    $200 WD_Black SN850 1TB NVMe Internal Gaming SSD; PCIe Gen4 Technology, up to 7000 MB/s Read speeds, M.2 2280, 3D NAND https://amzn.asia/d/e18Gbp3

Got a weblink to share with us?

Whoops you have lolz thanks 😊

Another alternative is to get the MP600 Core 2TB for $249. It's more expensive but you get more storage. The performance seems on par with this.

I bought 3x of these from the other post which was $149 each and direct Amazon AU and crazy same day delivery arriving by 8pm tonight and more so bought them cause being an AORUS product and especially well more so the fancy copper heatsinks,.. but I could keep the heatsinks and swap the drives over with what your suggesting, certainly I'm sure I'll get my money back but thanks too, I'm also wondering the x570 motherboard I'll be getting has 3x m.2 ports and it states raid wonder if raid is on both the SATA ports and m.2 NVMe ports, love to try raid 0

Edit: got a weblink for the MP600 Core 2TB deal,.. definitely better having more storage especially if the performance is the same

FYI I got jb to price match wd850 for ps5 to $235 via phone yesterday

      https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/wd_black-sn850-m-2-ssd-wi…

      • Nice, the heatsink is worth the extra $30. Local warranty is apparently the best with WD too.

    You can try this instead

Ive gotten quite a lot of items delivered after ordering despite being temporarily out of stock

It's from Amazon AU too, so faster delivery times when in-stock

    • Can get it in stock at umart for same price pick up or +$5 postage

Edit: negged deal since you can get local stock for cheaper

  • How does a 1tb FireCuda 520 compare to this?

  • I saw a 1TB Crucial P5 Plus for ~$160 from Amazon UK earlier which is probably better. Can’t find it anymore

  • $299 u can get 2 TB version from pcbyte

  • +1

Umart has it in-stock with local warranty for $149 no deal and dumb buying it from the US..

  • Interested to know as I've been milking the returns with Amazon AU,.. would the same be on returns as Amazon AU for this or any other items that are from Amazon US through Amazon AU?,. would the same for returns apply and also would warranty be through Amazon AU or Amazon US?, I don't know as I've never had any warranty claims through Amazon yet

    • +3

Similar policies apply but warranty is still international. You need to ship it back to the US for returns. Manufacturer would not recognise it as local warranty
I wouldn’t get international stock unless considerably cheaper than local

      • Cool thanks but are you saying you wont get warranty at all or just has to be shipped back to Amazon US for warranties

        • +1

You won’t get any local warranty. If the manufacturer has international warranty, that would apply but it’s generally much less coverage than local. Otherwise, any warranty would be through Amazon US.
I don’t know how they process warranty, say a couple years after purchase. Would they recognise it and accept the return?
Pretty sure Australian Consumer Law would not apply since it’s outside jurisdiction (I might be wrong, someone more knowledgeable please correct me if so)

  • considerably cheaper locally as others have pointed out, no deal

  • How’s this go for windows gaming I’m after pcie4
