  • Note: The '$ to go' amount that appears when you start the challenge is the pre GST amount.
  • This challenge entitles you to $20 bonus cashback when you spend $50 or more in one transaction (inclusive of GST, exclusive of delivery & all other fees) at Microsoft through ShopBack between 19th June 2022 12.00am AEST to 30th September 2022 11.59pm AEST.
  • Only purchases made after you 'Start' this challenge will qualify for the bonus cashback.
  • Limited to one bonus per customer.
  • Available while redemptions last.
  • The $20 bonus cashback is in addition to the regular cashback you'll receive shopping at Microsoft.

          Are you sure that checking out via MS store will count for cashback?

          I have GPU and this challenge too in SB. My kid is looking forward to the Hotwheels upgrade. If this is going to count for SB then I'll probably go ahead.

            @thegreatermamba: As long as you pay using credit card (not stored credit or gift cards), I believe it will count for cashback. I bought the add on bundle and the (normal) CB tracked on SB, still waiting for the challenge to apply. I made sure to add it to my cart from xbox.com then go back via shopback to the cart at the MS store (white webpage not black xbox page).

    2 questions

    1. Would buying an Xbox Game / Addon count towards cashback?
      • Looks like - since on SB Cashback Rates section it is mentioned as Xbox 1st and 3rd Party Games - 5.50%
    2. Can we pay using Store Credits
      • Looks like not - since on SB's list of Don'ts it is mentioned that Gift card purchases & Purchases with the use of Giftcards are ineligible for cashback unless otherwise stated.

    Looking for confirmation for both.

          I had a $50 JB gift card. I used it to get $50 xbox gift card.

          Loaded that to my MS account and purchased the Forza5 Addon bundle for $56.

          Did the puchase via the shopback app. When I added Forza5 pack to cart it was at xbox.com, but went back a few times so i was back at Microsoft store. Forza5 pack was in my cart and i completed purchase there. Not sure if that made a difference, but figured it was easy to just be safe.

          Few hours later, it already says shopback challenge completed. Also tracking the $3.08 normal cashback.

      Confirming this worked for me (cashback tracked and challenge completed).

      • Add premium bundle to cart on Xbox site
      • Go to Shopback and click through to MS store
      • Go to cart on MS store and pay using credit

                I even used Shopback app's internal browser to avoid all conflicts and, as I mentioned earlier, paid via CC to be extra sure

                  You should probably give SB support a heads up today, as the challenge may have already ended by the time they sort out the missing cashback.
