  • In 7 days chemist warehouse will jackup prices by 40% … LoL :D

    • +1

      Except they won't…

    • +1

Their prices on vitamins and other products (that they don't own a share in) are already jacked up by quite a bit at the moment. Ended up buying from a different online pharmacy this morning.

      • Which online pharmacy do you usually go with?

        • you can beat the time and then apply the promo code.

        • +1

I just go with who ever is cheapest at the time. This time was discountchemist. Much cheaper (more than 20%) for some QV, Henry Blooms and Caruso products.

        • I usually get Chemist Warehouse to price match…..no dramas… Chemist Warehouse has a Lowest Price Guarantee. If you find a cheaper price on the same item at another Australian registered pharmacy or retailer with a physical store, they will match that price and give you an additional 10% off the difference…bunnings of pharmacy

    • is it press F4 on CW EFTPOS machine?

      • +1

        No.

        In the post description:

        Press F1
        Then press 6 for ShopBack

        • cheers

  • -1

I think you got your descriptions round the wrong way

  • Can this be used for prescriptions?

    • +2

The terms don't allow prescriptions but their software doesn't detect, so it has always worked so far.

    • Yes, just used

  • +1

    Thanks OP

  • Wondering if giftcard purchase is eligible?

    • In the last Westpac 50% off in late July someone said that worked so I don't see why this wouldn't

    • It should bcos shopback wouldn't know what you're buying

  • How does shopback pay know you're paying for a prescription? Or if your checkout contains a prescription?

    • Yeah, I saw this condition too: "Offer is not valid and cannot be used for prescription drugs".

      • +1

        System can't detect currently.

  • +1

    Thanks OP.

  • Tried to purchase a gift card but the cashier said the system won’t allow it.

    • It works with gift card purchases. Just tell the cashier you pay by EFTPOS. Then follow these steps:
      Press F1
      Then press 6 for ShopBack
Scan the QR code in-store to pay for your order
Before swiping to pay, tap on 'Apply Promo'
      Swipe to pay and enjoy!

      • I told her that I wanted to use Shopback and then she scanned the gift card and said it won’t work. Is the key to it working to not tell them how you are paying?

  • +1

Saved $15.07 at CW and $9.75 at Sushi Sushi.
    $0.79 on the scratch card.

  • +1

don't redeem your cash back balance too. it reduces the total amount charged, which reduces the discount

    • -1

It's a Westpac offer using a linked Westpac card for the discount.

    • I realised this after the fact. Luckily I only had a $0.20 balance.

  • This worked well. 20% off things already on special.
    Scratch card 17cents.

  • +1

I have just bought 100$ gift card. Got scratch as well.

  • i got only 10% discount and 26c scratch !

  • No longer worked for gift card purchase :(

    • It’s not the gc problem, they seems to withdrew the offer / ended early

  • Just about to make a payment at the store but it's no longer available 😭

  • Ah wtf this bs lol, about to pay but unavailable.

    • Me too and I posted the offer 😭

      • First time using SB Pay, and i look like a fool tryna figure out how to pay while holding traffic. Fml.

        • Is the $5 offer available for new SB Pay customers?

    • Yep. Not a thing showing up in the promos as you pay.

  • @gotyourback Can you please check? Offer isn't in the SB app anymore. Was about to use this.

    Thanks.

    • Erk. Was just about to go

  • Was going to buy $100 gift card

  • Damn, missed out. Was planning to go after work

  • Mine worked at 6pm Sydney time. I got $20 off

  • +3

I bought exactly 100.45$ amount of shit. Went to checkout and promo wasn't there. I had to pay the full cost so I wouldn't be embarassed at checkout. I hate you for doing this to me shopback 😐😐 I think I would have cancelled had my prescription wasn't there

    • +1

Same happened to me. I took a detour in pouring rain on my way home for this offer, only to find out at checkout that the offer had mysteriously disappeared. I went ahead and paid full price, and I was holding up the queue! It was 6:05 PM AWST when I paid. Unless Shopback honours the terms as they were advertised both in their app and at the Westpac lounge, this will be my first and last experience using Shopback Pay. Sending Shopback a support ticket, if there is no confirm resolution I will head be back to Chemist Warehouse on the weekend to return the goods.

  • +2

Neg. Nothing against the OP (who also missed out on the deal) but before I left the house to go to CW, I checked that this deal was still valid. Literally as I was at the counter ready to pay, the 20% discount disappeared. Typical SB being unreliable as ever

    • Same. Was in a small queue with the offer in my app. It went to another screen when it was my turn to pay. Staff was nice when I said offer had gone.

@DrScavenger I left my small item at the counter. SB together with CWH are unreliable.

      • Honestly now that I'm thinking I should have cancelled all except my prescription. I should have my ozb membership suspended for at least 10 months

  • I got there 9.15pm and it worked for me

    • That's odd. This 20% Chemist Warehouse offer disappeared from around 6.30pm AEST. You were lucky if it worked for you later.

The 50% off offer for other stores is still available.

  • +2

I think we should lodge a dispute for this

    • +1

I am lodging a support ticket with Shopback, if that doesn’t work out then I am returning what I bought.
Are there other ways to lodge a dispute? with Westpac?

  • +1

@gotyourback Can you assist here as lot of us paid without getting the 20% discount as the promo code disappeared for a couple of hours from around 6-30PM AEST and seems it was back at 9-15PM. We all don't want to lodge disputes with Westpac which will end up costing Shopback much more

  • What's with SB pulling these Shopback Pay promos early…

  • Hey everyone 👋 really sorry some of you had issues with the Westpac x Chemist Warehouse offer disappearing at checkout — we know how frustrating that would’ve been 😞

We’re checking in with the team now to see what happened during that window and will share an update once we’ve got clarity 🙏 In the meantime, if you were affected, please also raise a support ticket via the app or email help@shopback.com.au so the team can review your case individually.

Thanks for flagging this — we really appreciate your patience while we sort it out 💙

    • -9

Just got an update from the team. The promo had a redemption limit which was reached around 6pm AEST, and once it was fully redeemed it was removed from the app so no further redemptions could be made.

Sorry for the confusion this caused, we’ll look at making the limits clearer in future promos so expectations are set upfront 🙏 Appreciate everyone flagging this with us.

      • +2

@gotyourback The promo was removed after scanning the QR code. But it still showed chemist Warehouse as 20%, I have taken a screenshot for the same and attached to my support ticket. I hope this is honoured as otherwise I will make sure to spend enough time of your agents which will cost more than $20.

Everyone affected I say flood their support , every human interaction costs them $$$

        • +2

Unfortunately this is my reply today. I mentioned T&Cs didn't state limited redemptions.

Thank you for reaching out regarding the Chemist Warehouse $20 off promotion.

We’d like to clarify that this offer was subject to limited redemptions and was valid only until 6:00 PM on the specified day, or until the redemption cap was reached, whichever came first.

Based on our records, it appears that the promotion was fully redeemed by that time, as outlined in the promotional materials.

We completely understand how this might be disappointing, especially if you were looking forward to redeeming the offer. That said, there’s no need to worry, we regularly run exciting promotions, and there will be more similar deals on the way. We encourage you to keep an eye on the app and your inbox so you don’t miss out!

If you have any further questions or need assistance with other offers, feel free to reach out, we’re always happy to help.

          Best Regards

        • Still waiting to hear back from them on the ticket I lodged.
I am so done with SB. Will close my accounts with both Shopback and Westpac after their response.

          • @deliriouss: I emailed them as I didn't get very far with the bot in the app.

I had been to CWH twice as this person claimed it worked that night. It still wasn't in my app.

Unfortunately SB seems to have frequent errors and incomplete terms.

            • @trixieb: In my experience, SB is the least reliable cashback platform, with the worst support team and I do not even use them that much.
4 out of 5 challenges/promotions/transactions I participated this year required support (the bonus wasn't issued, or the transaction did not track, etc.). I went to CWH in pouring rain for it; this is the last straw for me. More troubles than it is worth.

              • @deliriouss: Sorry to hear.

I'm in Perth too and there was heavy downpour that day.

It takes time and effort to sort out. Sometimes cashback is not worth it.

        • Do you have a screenshot of the terms advertised in Westpac app by any chance? I filed a complaint with Westpac.

          • @deliriouss: It's in the post description. Here is the screenshot.

Good luck. Let us know how you go.

            • @trixieb: Thank you for your reply. I think that’s from the ShopBack app, right? I have already included that one, but I was wondering if someone has taken the terms from the Westpac app, as I saw it in the Westpac app before but didn’t take a screenshot.
I'm not expecting any tangible outcome there, but I think a partner and investor of Shopback like Westpac should do something to make ShopBack accountable for what they advertised. I have already closed my ShopBack account and may close my Westpac account, as I don’t use it for anything other than bonus cashback.

              • +1

@deliriouss: I haven't seen the one from the Westpac app. Didn't even know the Westpac app had advertised Shopback.

      • +2

Also in Perth and got burnt at 5:50pm WST. Terrible Shopback and Westpac

  • +3

Same as the others - T&C did NOT state limited redemptions so I was already in the queue at CHW when this deal was pulled. I already took my prescription from the pharmacist so I couldn't return it. Terrible ShopBack as always
