I bought the 100w version last week. It's outstanding and i highly recommended it.
Only problem is the 100w usb cable that comes with it is garbage so you will have to buy a better 100 USB cable. The stock cable is not a quality 100w rated cable, it drops out occasionally when charging at 100w.
Hasn't missed a beat with new quality cable.

      Same. Mostly Melbourne Amazon Deal?

Hasn't missed a beat with new quality cable.

Which brand/model cable did you end up buying to replace the one in the package?

Also, are the power plug pins on your model not insulated as well?

Omg, i just checked the power plug and the pins are not insulated. They're really long and actually quite dangerous with no insulation on the pins. I'll be careful from now on. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

I bought the 2m 200w usb c cable from cable creation on amazon. They also have a 3m 100w cable for $17 bucks which i will buy eventually. Cable creation are highly recommended. My previous work place bought cables from them and never had any problems.

Just to put it into perspective, the most advanced country in the world, the US, does not have insulated pins on any of their plugs. Neither does Japan.

          • @eug: Yes we know that. You haven't seen how long these pins are, they're abnormally long. If you have little fingers when plugging it in or out you definitely could get a zap. You wouldn't die though as your arms would just retract to your chest instantly. I would be surprised if they're actually legal in Australia.

I bought one last year. There is no way little fingers would fit in that gap. A butter knife yes, but fingers no. The gap is no different to a US plug being unplugged.

              • @eug: Maybe slightly different model due to supply chain issues.

I found some of my extension cord from bunnings also not insulated.

        • I mean, if it really worries you, couldn't you cut off and install an Aussie 3-pin plug on the end (depending on your state)?

      • what's this uninsulated pins?

        • +3

Since 2005 Australia has had a requirement that the plugs on all 240V appliances sold here have a partially insulated section on the live and neutral pins. This is to prevent the risk of shock when a plug is only partially inserted.

          https://www.appliancetaggingservices.com.au/blogs/insulated-…

Baseus chargers have fixed power cables so it's not possible to swap them for a regulation Aussie cable.
It's not a big problem but it's something to keep in mind particularly when pulling a cable out of the socket.

  • I will not recommend this charger. Every time I plug a new device, existing devices will restart charging.
Now it's just constantly charging on and off when I plug in more than 1 device.
