where is this link for "Hisense 58 Inch UHD 4K TV 58A6G for $649.99 inclusive of delivery."?
I found it 58A6G >> https://www.costco.com.au/Smart-TVs-Audio-Cameras/Smart-TVs/… looks like you can't buy this online anymore, out of stock wow

i actually was in store at costco casula and I saw the Hisense 58" 4K UHD but it was 5816HAU, now i thought this was a type but it appears to be 2 different models

the one in store 5816HAU was $799 discounted to $629.98 which is this https://hisense.com.au/product/58-uhd-4k-tv-series-a6hau/
and the one you mentioned 58A6G $649.99 delivery is this https://hisense.com.au/product/58-uhd-4k-tv-series-a6g/ which has a higher RRP

wondering the main difference between the two… ?

i couldn't toss between the Hi sense 58" or the TCL 55" 4K QLED TV which is $800. damm the different names they use for TV shit nowadays lol

    • Having the exact same debate! Let me know if you end up pulling the trigger.

      • +2

Salesman at Jb! On Friday, he reckons back end of July is best better prices, my crystal ball is in the shop for repair, it will let me know when it’s done!

        • oh man so you reckon wait until next month, i wonder if i can buy the costco TV and then see how the sales are next month. if i like it then i can refund the costco tv else if theres nothing much of a differencer then i'll keep the costco TV :)

        • Any crystal ball repair shop bargains?

        • Might be, got tcl 55 for around 425 last year in mid july.

If you have an active ABN is there any negative to signing up as business account to save $5? (Less warranty? Etc)

        • +2

No negative. Warranty is still the same.

I have found Kogan TVs to be crazy slow. Even just to turn on

      • +2

I've got two with no issues. Only time it's slow to turn on is if you fully shut down the system.

      • +2

yeah i went to an airbnb recently and they had a kogan TV. i know its an older model but geez the time to turn on and trying to go to youtube was such a hassle that i didn't even want to watch / use that TV anymore

    • +2

ComparingHisense with Kogan is Apples to Oranges,

    • +5

Please dont buy a kogan tv. They are the biggest pile of junk in the market.
The processors are sluggish. The wifi module runs over string and tin cans. The specs look great but overall dont work as well as they should

      Dont do it.

      • +1 to Kogan TVs being junk. I had two. Slow and so laggy. Netflix would lag and stutter through a direct wired connection on gigabit internet. Wifi… forget about it, I can't watch Kayo over Wifi 10m away from the access point without constant freezing.

Why does Toph need a large screen TV?

  • I got the 65" a7g for $849 delivered cant fault it for the price imo

    • Good: A7G is a better model plus you got the 65" not the 58"

      • whats the dif between A7G and 5816HAU/58A6G ?

    • +1

Who has this on for 849?

      • was costco at the start of this month, online only purchase and included delivery

  • I grabbed myself a 58A6HAU (2022 A6 model) from the good guys for $695 with click and collect. I think I will get $120 store credit on 14th July to use for 7 days as per EOFY promotion. I trust that there should be something to grab from good guys with those store credit though.

    • where does it come up with the $120 store credit promo?

      oh found it - https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/features/eofy-sale
but what does "paypal in 4" mean? "Plus you can grow your credit if you choose to pay for your Click & Collect purchase with PayPal Pay in 4!"
is this like after pay for paypal and you pay in 4 instalments or something?

ok i just saw, nah i don't want to do payments in 4 instalments for now so might pass

      • I think its just simply Paypal but split in 4 payments though. If you already have Paypal, then I don't see any dramas hmmm.

Better to get newer A6HAU model from JB which is $595 for 50"

    • I am trying to figure out what are differences between 65 inch A6HAU, A7HAU, A6G, U7G.
I wonder which one is the best 65 inch TV for under/or around $1K? Can anyone help?

      • Hi, I can only tell you from my experience with A6G, the speakers were bad. From what I know A6G is 2021 model, so better off with the new 2022 HAU models and reviews on JB for HAU seem decent, with good picture and sound

        • +1

Thank you, this is very helpful!

  • Apologies friends.

The Costco website listing seems to be for the 50A6G model.

I was in store yesterday at Perth and both the 50 and 58 inch TVs were the newer 2022 A6HAU models which listed for the same price. May have been an error in the listing from Costco.

  • Can anyone share thoughts on whether TCL and Hisense TVs are any good compared to LG and Samsung.
Costco has the first three brands available but I have bad memories of TCL and Hisense from about 10 years ago.
I have read some online reviews but keen to hear some unvarnished OzBargainer's points of view.

    • i bought a 55" hi sense in 2018, been good so far. i probably dont need to upgrade except it just nice to have a newer tv especially when it comes to 4K.
in the end doesn't matter really, it shows a good picture then ill be happy lol

    • Hisense can be super sketchy, because they'll use the same serial for the australian model vs the US model (which is the one with all the reviews), but the Aus version will have inferior parts and specs.

They're banking on people seeing reviews for the US version, and buying in Aus and hoping people don't realise they're different products.

Higher end TCL stuff is meant to be pretty good, I was going to pick up a TCL C825, but there was a 2-3 month lead time, so I picked up an X90J instead, since it was actually in stock

      • Thanks for that - was looking at Hisense TVs at JB and noticed they were cheaper than the equivalent size and specs in other brands…now I know why.

  • Got 58A6G from Costco Ringwood(Vic) for $549.99. Seemed the last one as it was already on a flat trolley with the price tag on it (didn't confirm with staff).

Anyone interested in the model, worth an enquiry to staffs, whichever store you are in.

Good picture quality & average sound effect but happy on it with the price.

It has Hisense’s VIDAA system not an Android TV, but most TV Apps are built-in already. Suppose I don't need connect it to the to-be-redundant Foxtel Now box.
