  • Wish Dawn of Ragnarok was this cheap

    • Give it a year

      • It's been out for the better half of one already

        • DoR came out March 10 2022, just over 3 months ago.

          • @sween64: I meant covid years. Anyway, I'll be buying it from JB tomorrow with first responder discount.

Ragnarok online 2 is free to play in the meantime

This is in ps plus fyi.

    • On the Extra/Deluxe Plans that are $18.95 and $21.95 per month respectively. But that's a digital rental not a physical purchase. Pros and cons both ways.

      • Yea one gets you access to almost a hundred games, the other is a single physical copy of a game. If you used ozb you would only need to pay an extra $50 a year.

        • I admire people who could play hundreds of games a year. I’d be lucky to get through 10 games a year.

          • @kaal: You and me both! So far 4 of those games were in ps plus!

          • +2

@kaal: 10 games a year at this price is still nearly double the yearly price of the top tier plus subscription.

        • Good luck finding Extra for $50 a year

          • @[Deactivated]: I had a voucher for one year, applied it, then upgraded to extra and it cost $50 to upgrade. So all up it cost me $85 a year.

    • membership not worth it yet IMO

  • Nice and rare to see a pysical PC release.

  • seen it at Big W for $29 as well.

boring game. the modern times story was awful for the most part (until the end basically) and the viking era story was sort of ruined by all the grinding and busywork. the ships felt like a step backwards compared to odyssey. the viking story wasn't anything special either.

i used to be a fan of viking stuff but at this point i would be happy if i never saw another viking game, tv show or movie.

gameplay was okay, but, like odyssey, it's in the MMO style where you need to level up to beat certain bosses. they should just drop the first civilisation stuff altogether and make games where the mythology doesn't just turn out to be another Isu person / invention. it's no longer assassins creed.

one good point about the game is that they got the guy who played Cnut in The Last Kingdom to voice eivor, so at least that was done well.

    • Has any AC game been interesting since 2?

        Black flag was pretty good.

      • +1

Yes, Black Flag!…though mainly all the piratey stuff

      • 1 to black flag were good, also enjoyed rogue, though it was very short. interesting to play for the other side for once.

    • Im 2.5 hrs in and i actually fell asleep on my couch….

      • first 8 hours of the game is a drag, gets interesting after but I still didn't finish it, its too damn long!

        • +1

imo the only really interesting part was the last 2 - 3 hours

i have 105 hours in the game

  • Played an hour during free weekend and deleted, cannot stand at graphics on ps5. Very bad if I compare graphics of horizon, Miles morales etc

    • bit of an overreaction. played it on PC 4k maxed out @ 60 hz, and also played it on ps5. yes I can tell a slight difference but who cares, its not even noticeable unless you're comparing side by side.

technically a deal but sooner or later this will be the standard price for it, wait a little more and you'll find it pre owned at eb games in December for probably $15. if you've waited this long im sure it wasn't that appealing of a game in the first place.

  • tried this for 30 mins during free weekend. Absolutely horrendous, the movement, the combat, everything was so cheaply made…..

  • +1

I got this for $5 or $10 in a past Target deal listed on here

  • I stopped playing Assassins Creed years ago - not for any fault of the games, but my PC couldn’t handle newer ones.

Since upgrading in 2019, I am now too busy and tired to play.

However, if I were to start on this series again, do I need to play them in order? I have a PS5, too

I’m someone that has to play games in order. I’m weird, I know.
