Given this is OzBargain, find us a bargain deal on Q Suites so we can all experience it and give them a rating.

        Use flybuys-velocity

        • Isn't Qatar partnered with Qantas?

          • @vawiyoci: They are a part of OneWorld but also partnered with Virgin Australia since Etihad no longer partners with VA.

            • @bargain ben: Virgin Australia is partners with Etihad and Qatar

              • @Stewardo: Interesting since Qatar shows up in Qantas FF reward points flights search results.

                • @vawiyoci: Qantas and Qatar are part of the One World alliance.
Virgin Australia isn’t part of an alliance it just has partnerships with airlines, some of which are in different alliances. It also has a partnership with Singapore which is in the Star Alliance,

                  • @Stewardo: So are you saying you can book qatar flights with both QFF and Velocity points? Not an expert with this sort of thing so originally thought they had exclusive partnerships at least in terms of bookings.

FYI. Offer valid until 30 September 2022, for travel from now until 31 March 2023.

  • Is this all flights or only leaving AU?

  • +3

I remember last time when I tried to use the code, the luggage allowance reduced from 30 kg to 20kg. Please be mindful of that.

given the prices of J class up until XMAS, your going to need this…. I am flying in OCT in Q Suite and paid $6k to Heathrow return, same seat is now $23k.

    • +1

      But you save $3k hahaha

    • Using points?

      • no points, booked it flat out CASH in November 2021. Prices have risen significantly. Assuming Fuel costs and the TRAVEL rush have been the major drivers.

  • Where do you add this code to get 12% off?

  • +4

Discount applies to the base airfare fare only.

The real discount is probably 6-8% I guess.

Qatar codeshare with BA and BA have a sale at the moment. You can fly the same aircraft but with a BA flight number for 30% cheaper…

    • It's worth shopping around, but I didn't find my combo cheaper.

  • -2

"12% off on"…well which is it?

  • +2

Thanks for the deal…looking at some tickets to Doha for the world cup.

  • Used this code to book European flights last week. Qatar seem to be quite competitive at the moment all things considered.

  • +2

Best airline ever. QA & Emirates. Etihad comes next.

    • +2

agree with this, in that specific order too
      nothing beats QATAR

      • …not even SQ ?

        • QATAR have the best J class in the sky. QSUITE & Dine on Demand, unbeatable right now.

          • @STE: What's "J Class" ?

I just had to look up what QSUITE is,
and it is the epitome of luxury (without getting a private jet!)

            • +1

              @whyisave: J Class: Full-fare business-class ticket

  • +1

It is worth looking at different routes from AU on Qatar. We’re Sydney based and booked our return flights to Edinburgh in February. Was $6k return all in for 4 of us (2 adults, 2 kids) from Brisbane, and $9k return from all other AU airports.

We’re flying up to Brisbane first…

  • Do you need to be juiced up for qatar airways?

  • My quick search found cheaper airfare on the same flight on webjet, it hard to change any flights with webjet, not sure about change policy direct with Qatar Airways.

  • just tried searching a few flights to Europe for Sep - feels suspiciously like fares were jacked up or at least about 12% more expensive than Emirates…

  • Can confirm price for same flight (destination and out/in dates) I was looking at a week ago went up by $400-500 now.

Looks like eBay Jack has infected Qatar Airways.

  • What's the limit on the discount? If you are buying business class to Europe, you could easily save 1k, but I'm guessing it won't work like that?

  • is discount applied on checkout? I see no discount on my search!

edit; nm I was look at ineligible locations

  • I see no difference in price if I apply the code while making the booking, the total price just before making the payment via PayPal comes the same as what's skyscanner is quoting. I'm booking for eligible destination.

Has anyone successfully applied the code with discount applied and booked via PayPal?

    • Yes, but it was a few weeks ago. It did change the price for me.

You need to book directly with Qatar.

      • thanks, that's what I'm doing (booking direct with Qatar on their website), but there is no price difference up to the final checkout/payment page.

        • I’m having the same issue. Please let me know if you figure it out

          • @bobkin: nope, the discount doesn't work for me no matter what I try!

      • same thing… no difference

  • Travel period extended until 30 June 2023.
