    The "promotion" is coordinated by a Retail body, which provides a lot of the wording, T&Cs, etc.
    It is all about increased sales, nothing else.

  Firefighters? I must have missed the article about how covid placed them at higher risk.

  I would have thought giving a discount to essential workers such as front-of-house supermarket workers or bus drivers would be more appropriate.

    Firefighters respond to all sorts of road crash, general rescue, assisting ambulance and welfare checks mate where they come face to face with people in confined spaces. It's okay, you didn't miss the article, you just don't have a clue what you're talking about.
