For those who got a tab from Optus and want to invest in a fancy official case. Third party cases are around $10 to $20.

Lowest price so far according to CamelCamelCamel.

There's many third party cases for the A8 but my pick based on reviews is this combo:

  $55…..yeah right. For those without an Amazon account, just search Ebay for something a tad cheaper. I paid around $12 (inc delivery) from memory for an ok one with two angle positions. Simular to Jtech case you have noted there.

  Spend 34% of the tab price for the cover. Not my style. May suit for others but I bought one from eBay for $20 ish.

  Thanks OP. Went looking when I shouldn't have. Picked up the lavender one for $35.45. Pic slightly different to other colour examples, but that's what returns are for.

  Jtech one is fine, AliExpress one I grabbed is a bit sus.

  Wish you could get a case with a hinge on it similar to a Switch OLED or Surface computer. I have the JETech one and I am constantly wishing I could have different angles other than the 2 that it allows.

  I bought a ProCase one for mine, which is basically the same as the JETech case linked by OP. Both are supposedly "Amazon's Choice" for A8 tablet covers. The Samsung one definitely appears to be better but I wouldn't pay more than $20-$25 for it. Have to wait until it goes on clearance for a decent price

  If you need kids proof or rugged style then get this Supcase for $41.99
  Solid 10/10 with nice kickstand cheaper than Otterbox or Spigen.
