41

This TV was $2850 at release in May last year. Now at $1219 delivered it is a fantastic price for one of the best pictures you can buy. Please note this is a refurbished unit. Next cheapest is Savvy Appliances at $1930 excluding shipping. Most other retailers are out of stock. Whirlpool thread that lists 2011 Pana prices:

Get in quick as this is obviously a run out price on discontinued stock.

Ew, yuck, refurbished along with about 20 watermarks burned onto the screen.

  • How much is buyers premium on this?

    • None. I think for BIN they don't take a premium.

  • The last post on the whirlpool link you provided says shops are selling brand new for $1400

Hmmm, for the only $180 more you'd definitely go new.

  • Warranty:

3 Month Warranty managed by GraysOnline

    :)

  • hmm only 3 months warranty, refurbished and no glasses. its a nice size and good features for sure, but not sure if its worth spending a bit more for new.

Refurbished and Grays warranty (not manufacturer) is a deal breaker for me.

A little more and you get brand new and manufacturer warranty.

    • may be warranty by local tv mechanic :D

  • i purchased one of these last month for 1560 brand new and was the last one i could find in melbourne. it's an awesome display and the last of the 55" panasonics for australia.

if you want brand new, you'll need to go for the newer 50" or 60" ST model (doesn't have GT's THX mode). ~1500 for the 50", ~2300 for the 60".

it was in the top 10 TV's for last year.

    Not a bargain to me.
Just got TH-P50ST50A for 1340 from TGG last weekend.

      Except this is a 55"

  • $1200+ for a worn, aged, second hand, discontinued model TV with a 12 week warranty? Not a manufacturer warranty either, and you would have virtually no (if any) statutory warranty either as you know you are buying a second hand TV. If you bought this now it could blow up in September and there goes $1200 down the drain!

The closest available prices is actually $1708 delivered for brand new, not $1930, which makes outlaying this sort of cash on a second hand TV with virtually no warranty even more crazy and not even attractive:
