These guys cancelled/re-schedule one of my flights with multiple people on the booking. I paid 71% with cash and 29% with voucher and decided to cancel one of the passengers, their solution was to refund me like 10% in cash and 90% in voucher.

Their second email to me states:

"I am sorry that you remain disappointed with the outcome that we have provided you. Please be aware however that this is our final position and we will not be responding to any further submissions about this matter."

Lawd. Also their response time to opening up a ticket is about 9 days before they get back to you.

        🤬n joke!!!
For a very small family run business that does (/did) a decent amount of travel, they've held so much of our money these past 2 years. And as clearly stated in your reply, they are COMPLETELY unwavering in their response… to a situation that they themselves sometimes cause!

      • That’s bs. F that.

      • Go to ACCC or the ombudsman and demand your money back.

At this point I’m quite sure they’re selling a product in bad faith. Something needs to be done.

I will never catch a flight with jetstar again. I might not see my family as often but I'd rather fork out the extra money to fly with an alternative airline then have to deal with these swine.

    • They’re all the same right now unfortunately.

Family were due to fly home from Darwin to Sydney night before last. Flight was cancelled on them via email a few hours prior to flight with a link to rebook. Go to link and not one flight available to book. Ring call centre, on hold for three hours and got told the earliest a flight is available is another week away. Due to it being peak holiday season there is no accomodation available in Darwin, not that jet star would cover it anyway. Their offer of compensation? A whole $50 voucher for later use for the inconvenience to be shared between all passengers.
So now they are stranded for a week. Flights via any other carrier are well above their available funds. No insurance was taken out because who would really think that you couldn’t be booked on another flight within a day or two at most?
DO NOT FLY, or attempt to fly, WITH JETSTAR

  • Bought flights direct from Sydney to Phuket. Just got told I have to go via Melbourne with a 7 hour lay over or refund, which is what I think they prefer.

The only thing worse than the garbage service offered up by airlines at the moment is the fact that the regulators let them get away with it

  • just as well checked baggage isn't included as it's not guaranteed your bags will arrive at your destination….that's if your flight wasn't abruptly cancelled to begin with
