  • I've been using an Akko, and like the feel, very good quality.
The only thing I don't like is the spacebar makes a hollow "boom" sound when it bottoms out.
I've been planning to add some rubber gasket material or something, but haven't got around to it.

Akko is improving day by day. the 5075B comes with new staberlizer which reduce rattle/ticking sound but still need some moddings to be perfect. In comparison to Keychron, I prefer Akko in term of p/p. The downside of Akko is north facing switch and pretty low dim RGB. Not sure if there is FL-Esport in Australia or not, there board is pretty similar to Leopold in term of quality. One of best stock keyboard and solid build from China.

  • Ooh looks like a more affordable GMMK 75

  • I'd be all over this if I wasn't already in the TH96 group buy and already owned a 3098B!

  • Just get the $164 Keychron Q1 from Mwave

This has a lot of reasons to buy over the Q1.

Q1 has only blue switches in stock at that price, whereas this is linear. Sure, they're hotswappable, but then you're paying however much for switches.

This has better PBT keycaps, doesn't require modding to sound good and has a volume knob (some people may want this)

I have both the AKKO 3068B and the PC75B.

Amazing value and good enough for me out-of-the-box in terms of 'thocc'-iness, to the point I haven't even needed to do any mods.

The AKKO PBT keycaps and switches are really good quality and worth the price alone. The keycaps themselves are worth $89.

The only negative I can think of is that I wish there was a storage compartment for the USB dongle (which I think is an issue for most keyboards).

RGB is not important to me so the north-facing thing isn't a concern for me (I'm looking at the monitor so I couldn't care less if my keyboard lit up like a Christmas tree!).

    • just received this board :) agree the keycaps are amazing, and there is now a storage compartment on the back of the board for the USB dongle!

Akko makes quality stuff. Have their ASA keycaps and very well made, plus the Jelly Black switches are good bang for buck too, especially if you're on a budget. This will be my first Akko board, cheers OP.

  • I was looking at buying a PC75B Plus when they came back in stock. Is this like the updated version?

different strokes for different folks - although they are quite similar. you can see a typing comparison here (as well as the looks of the keyboards):

      otherwise generally:

      • 5075b is gasket mounted, vs PC75b which is top mounted
      • 5075b has an alu plate vs PC75b PC plate
      • smaller volume knob on the 5075b
      • RGB sidelights on the 5075b
      • ABS plastic case for 5075b vs PBT for PC75b
      • PC75b comes with a larger range of options on switches
      • 5075b has new stabilizers with TPU inlay
      • slightly smaller battery on the 5075b

    This is awesome.
Ticks all my boxes but just wished they had it available in tactile switches.
Reckon it's still worth getting and swapping out keys or waiting till it is available with tactile keys

my thinking too - love me some tactiles.

  • Thanks for posting, piejustice. It looks like good quality. Just bought this for my partner! We can we keyboard buddies:-)

Typed on a KB Paradise KBPV6000 from a mobile phone.

  • Thanks purchased this budget GMMK Pro.

  • Very tempted… the key caps alone retail for $90.
Upgrading the switches to Akko matcha greens on my tecware phantom has already taken that budget keyboard to a whole new level.

Any inputs on the switches? I’ve read the silver and wine red lubed is quite similar and excellent value for money.

    • Also looking for switch input, I have talked myself into buying and can't decide, particularly given I can't be bothered lubing myself, primary use case is fps gaming.

      • +1

Wine Red is out of stock.
From what I read, the Silvers are better for gaming due to its actuation force.

Slowly talking myself out of the deal unfortunately, wireless and volume knob is a bonus however it's to hard too justify when I have no complaints around my budget tecware phanton 87 with akko matcha greens…

        • Thanks!
