  • My code worked fine. I added 2x$1 electrical tape rolls to go above $100.

    • Is CLUB20OFF the generic code? I have been trying to use it but the system xwon't allow. Came out of CR too but it still won't work. What a bloody mess of an IT system..

      • +1

Code is generic, but you need to:
        1. Join BCF as a new member (email required)
        2. Logon to BCF account with that same email address.
        3. Purchase total should be 100 or above 100 dollars.
        4. At checkout, use the code. It should work

        • Haven't received the code via email yet

      • Did you receive welcome email containing instructions about $20 voucher? Mine took few minutes but if yours is delayed, that might be causing the issue

        • Not yet unfortunately

          • @go2force: It appears to me that sign up is a 2 step process
You should receive 1st email, click VERIFY EMAIL button in the first email.
Once its done, you will receive a second email confirming your membership

            • @sedi: Verified the email straightaway but still haven't received the code yet

      • @sedi has given great direction to get the voucher so follow this and make sure you sign-up first then wait to receive the voucher before placing anything in your cart.

        • Cool, will wait

          • @go2force: If you verified try using your email and password created to login, then try CLUB20OFF and see if that works for you.

            • @MMM: Doesn't work for me either.

I signed up. Activated. Received voucher and still same.

              • @ScoMosas: Will try in the morning now

              • @ScoMosas: Is there a possibility that the deal ended at midnight?

            • @MMM: Recieved code on wife's email account but it still won't work

              • @go2force: May have been Oz bargained? will expire it.

                • @MMM: Finally worked, changed the browser.

                  • @go2force: Voucher stopped working online last night but tried again this morning and purchased another Macpac for my wife so seems to be working again.

                    • @MMM: That's good, wifey needs a size 6 so will have to order directly from Macpac for her.

Still don’t understand the positive votes. Aldi so much better for the price

    • I think aldi one us heavier than this. It's good value but it's not actually lightweight like Kathmandu and Macpac.

      • +2

with a down jacket …heavier is good, they all the same thin shell material BUT heavier means more fill , the aldi one this year is 90% down 10% feather …last year it just has the 600 loft , . so you also want to check the fill types for down vs feathers as it might vary between BCF, aldi, mountain design, etc ….. it’s the quality and quantity of fill where they can cut corners, no the shell unless then make the jackets smaller.

Is all about Ozbargain spirit. Even a dollar is a saving. Specially if this is $30 difference without hooded.

    • +1

They're not comparable. I tried them both yesterday in store. The aldi one is thinner, feels cheaper and flimsy, looks shiny/cheap, and the Macpac was thicker, had higher quality lining and stiching, and has a far better reputation.

  • Which colour seems best. I have many black ones so thinking to get russet brown. I just don't want it to be flashy red

    • Really?

    • +1

brown would be stain friendly and more visible when crossing the road …..black is waiting for an accident ……

  • Code not working for me as well.

    • Voucher stopped working online last night but tried again this morning and purchased another Macpac for my wife so seems to be working again.

      • Thanks, worked for me now as well.

  • +2

Code works, but you must spend money $100 AFTER discounts now to get free shipping.

With a $1 item, plus $7.99 shipping, now comes to $88.98.

  • +1

Code worked for me, I bought the hooded version which took it over 100 comfortably.

  • Yep code worked for me, added a $1 electrical tape to take it to $100.99 - $20, total $80.99 click and collect price. Ordered a L as that’s what size I am in other brands but exchanged to M when I picked it up, like others said buy 1 size down. I bought it too fast before reading the size comments 😂. Thanks OP

  • +1

    Thanks: 1 jacket + 1 electrical tape = $81 pickup.

  • +1

thanks OP. Got one!! good finding

  • +2

None in stock near me for Click and Collect (SE Qld) so had to pay $8 for delivery. Still, $89 for a jacket and a roll of tape delivered is not bad!

  • +3

    Thanks MMM!
West Burleigh wouldn't accept $20 coupon in store on discounted items. Ordered C&C while in store and a $1.99 peg 😁

    • hahahaha, Classic!!

    • missed the peg.. Tweed had the jacket & electrical tape in stock

Just picked up my c&c order. Sizes are definately on the big end. I'm normally a medium so ordered a small and that itself is fairly big on me.

    • Yeah I'm usually 2xl and large fits! Makes me feel less fat haha

    • I'm usually a medium and the large fits fine. Went up a size in case I want to layer.

  • Got one thanks!

  • Thanks OP, ordered one (one size smaller) and they were out of stock. But they offered a hooded halo for extra 20 bucks.

  • Does anyones jacket smell like wet dog/bird? I got mine yesterday and it stinks.

My previous halo didn’t do this at all.

  • Thanks OP, got one! Was contemplating getting it from the earlier Macpac $99 offer but got iso'ed with Covid but hey, it saved me $20 with the new members discount so thanks Covid, but you still suck.

The only thing I wasn't sure about was the size. I normally wear XL size shirts but have lost 16kgs recently so hopefully a Large Halo will fit nicely.

  • +1

    Thanks OP. Bought in store.
BCF hoppers crossing staff was kind enough to help me join in store and didn’t even ask to buy items worth $100.

  • Bought this in my local store in Adelaide and they didn't have an issue with it. Just showed them my new signup and was good to go!

anyone know how to wash with either a top loader with a central agitator and no dryer?

  • thanks OP. Added a spork and used an old gift card I had with no idea what to use it on, with the $20 extra came to about $32. Great deal

  • Saw the Aldi ones this week and they also are less puffy like in previous years but seems thicker outer shell.

  • BCF boxhill had the men's black 2XL down to $75 …so potentially $55 if you use your coupon instore :)

  • Cheers OP - just bought at my local with some bouncy balls for the kids. Total of $82.

  • how to wash these with a top loader with agitator and no dryer?

    • +1

Hand wash. Sit it flat outside in the sun and it will be dry in a couple of weeks

  • Just bought hooded womans for my daughter. Have the macpac halo hooded for my wife and I and love them. Becomes the main go to jacket for warmth without the heaviness of a big overcoat or chunky jacket. Followed instructions to create Club BCF account first, confirm email, then use CLUB20OFF very late in checkout, literally on the payment page. FInal pricwe $109 which is as cheap as I've seen it. Thanks OzB gang.

  • Great deal OP - thanks.

Daughters is chuffed with her new Macpac Halo, if not by the absence of our $1 electrical tape.

Did anyone else who ordered the $1 tape to get over the threshold not receive their tape with the jacket delivery?
