Hi everyone, been eyeing this USB-C Hub for a while! I think it's the lowest price it's been and from a known brand.

It has got all your usual ports, but i liked this one as it has an extra USB-C data port, so I don't "lose" one when plugging this hub, and has pass through charging.

Also, before anyone comments, this one is 4k@30Hz HDMI.

For pass through charging, please consider that the HUB uses 12W, so you need to plug in a charger that provides your laptop's power requirements + 12W (E.g. your laptop requires 65W, you would need at least a 77W power adapter).

Edit: There is a similar model that doesn't include the extra USB-C port, but comes with an ETH port instead, but that one is still at full price.

  • Does this or any cheaper alternative that works with google Chromecast TV or Amazon Fire stick? Mainly looking to add a USB drive and plug in some Xbox controllers for emulation

    • This one works with GTV. I have seen it in a number of YouTube reviews working with Logitech Webcams for Duo support.
      Here's one such review.

I have a different generic one bought on eBay that works whilst my Blitwolf one didn't.
Note as OP mentioned is to use a better charger/power supply. I used a Zyron 65W GaN one for my setup.

  • I see you only get a max of 85w via PD so my Macbook Pro 16 2019 model requires 96w (fyi the MBP 2021 needs 140w) so it would prolong your battery but eventually run out.

If there an adapter/hub that would support an MBP indefinitely?

    • Yes, adjustment max of 85w. I did done researching before but don't remember encountering one that could deliver more than that, so maybe you'll have to get an official apple branded hub?
