Bought the AX3000 for only a few bucks less than this and that is an incredible router. So this AX5400 is great value

    • have AX3000 …would this be any better …can hand down AX3000 to family member.

      • Haven't looked into it since the AX3000 does more than enough for what I need, and probably only benefit if you have a high-tier broadband connection (I'm only on 50). Having said that if I had an excuse to upgrade I probably would…

      • keep the ax, use it as a mesh system.

edit: wait my bad thought these were asus

  • This worth it over the asus in the other deal posted?

    • You are comparing a peanut to an apple.
The Asus router you have posted is an AX1800 and the TP Link is an AX5400.
I agree with the Asus part just not the router model.
I have posted a link of Asus TUF AX5400 if interested people:

I picked up the AX73 which apparently 10% better than the AX72 in terms of speed for $212 on good guys commercial. Might be worth looking into if you are in the market for this router.

    • +3

The AX72 (this deal) has a dual core CPU at 1.0Ghz and the AX73 has a triple core CPU at 1.5Ghz so I would hazard a fair bit better than 10%.

      • Also AX73 has link aggregation which helps when connected to a dual-LAN NAS.

    • Can you help a brother out who doesn’t have GG commercial?

        have DMed you

        • Thank you sir

    • Good sir, can you help out another brother with no GG commercial plz?

  • Spend $42 and buy an Asus. I have had so much grief in the past with TP Link network product.

Just recently bought a TUF Asus AX5400 myself and loving it.
I don't work for Asus and I will not buy Asus laptop even if it was given to me(I hate that they windows key lock their laptops)

looks interesting, says 3/4G so might support backup dongle on the USB ? BUT this is from the UK, so UK plug pack so need travel adapter or new plug pack, local stock seem to be $350+ ???

      • Vast majority of modems or routers use 12V 2-3A power supply, which costs 15-20 bucks new or you might grab used for $5-10 at Gumtree. Brand doesn't matter. I use Huawei power supplies with TP-Link or Netgear with Cisco - no problems. The only issue might be with the plug size: 2.1 or 2.5 mm, but there are converters for that too.

      • yeah. just buy a $10 converter

  • I won't be able to use this for a DSL connection right?

    • You need a modem/router for DSL. This one is just router and clearly an overkill for DSL.

      • it is but great for local area network, personal DDNS service for file transfer and many more

  • clicked on and it showed 275 buckaroos? Really? $75 increase in a few hours?

    • cause is a great router
