    Challenger 3 is $47.98 too.

    • Good spotting đź‘Ť

    • Whats the difference between the Challenger and Seahawk for a 3-seater boat? Thanks

      • I'm no expert but from what I can see: Slightly higher weight limit ie. 300kg vs 360kg based on slightly thicker material and a bit more reinforced areas (which makes it approx 1.5kg heavier)

Whats the difference between the Challenger and Seahawk for a 3-seater boat

        https://gonecamping.net/intex-challenger-vs-seahawk/

The Intex Seahawk is significantly more durable than the Challenger. It also handles rough waters better, offers a four-person variant, and has an additional 20-25% weight capacity. If you’re on a tight budget, the Challenger will satisfy the casual boater. Otherwise, the Seahawk is the far better option.

        • But but but the Challenger 3 was $50 haha sold out now

    • Bargain! Got one. Thanks!!

    • Not any more :(

My dream of owning a motorboat is now a reality

  • Any recommendations for life jackets for a reasonable price for use with this boat for casual use (on a lake)?

    Thanks

  • do you need a licence, if you mount a motor?

Do you need a licence to operate this kind of motorised boat?
Edit: Reference or experience from NSW please.

    • Following for NSW/QLD too.

      • I found this so I am guessing you do need a licence in NSW because it's most likely that this motor can push the boat to above 18.5km/h. It's a fairly low speed limit.

        https://www.nsw.gov.au/driving-boating-and-transport/maritim…

You need a licence to drive a vessel for recreational purposes on NSW waters if:

you plan to drive the vessel at 10 knots (18.5 km/h) or more

      • From NSW web site https://www.nsw.gov.au/driving-boating-and-transport/maritim…

You don't need a licence for:
driving a powerboat under 10 knots, or sailing boat using its engine under 10 knots

I doubt this trolling motor can max even half that speed LOL. We are talking speed through water here.

The motor is designed for trolling, so the top speed of motor of 40lb thrust is about 4mph (6-7kmph), but depends on your boat shape, weight, water, wind, and other factors.

  • With the trolling motor, is there a (cheap) compatible battery to get along with it? Cheers.

    They see me trollin'
    They hatin'
Patrollin' and tryna catch me ridin' dirty
    Tryna catch me ridin' dirty

  • Anyone have a problem with checking out the motor - on the Payment page it seems to default to the regular price $303, and also displays an error with my address (or any other Australian address for that matter)…

    • +2

      I got the same message.
There was a problem with some of the items in your order (see below for more information):

    • I found out that if you have a lightning sale item in your cart that you have already ordered during the same sale, it will throw up that error at check out.

      • Thanks. Any workarounds then?

        • Nope. I think lightning items and some products which are heavily discounted, they let you buy 1 only which is fair enough…

          • @Buy2Much: Only 1 of the same item or lightning item s in general.

  • I ordered the motor and am going to pair it with the Renogy 50AH LiFePo4 battery. https://amzn.asia/d/fnLxJVf
Is there other reliable yet more affordable option than this battery?

    • 50AH won't last you too long, less than an hour (https://www.gonefishingnw.com/how-long-can-i-run-my-electric…). I think you would want at least 100AH. LiFePo are still expensive at the moment, I would go for say Giantz AGM deep cycle battery. Most auto shops or marine shops would have this type.

I’ve got the Renogy 100Ah LiFePo4 and can’t fault it so far (mainly used with a camping fridge)

      • Anyone used Everglow before? Everglow 12V 100Ah For $296 is not bad on Amazon…

        • I was looking at this too but couldn't find any reviews… I agree with you that 50Ah may not last long enough
So it's really to choose whether a small size but reputable brand or a bigger unbranded one at similar price

@fatjuice: Product Review feed backs are quite favourable plus they are also sold by outdoor stores, a good indication that factory support is worthy enough.
