  • What the, got a message saying my address is beyond the sellers delivery coverage. First time i copped that from amazon

Edit: Ah just saw the mods note

  • dual motor. which is nice…

any idea if this can ben mounted on wheels?

    • +1

Sounds like a long range model, lol…

    • +1

Possibly, has threaded caps that attach to the legs. Could potentially attach to wheels. Would wonder about stability with that though.

    • Yep, has M8 thread for castors.

  • $230 delivered for me with voucher

    • Which voucher?

      • I don’t know why I can’t see them anymore

        • So were you able to place the order for $230?

      • There was a $50 voucher earlier today then it disappeared. I had it in the cart, here's a screenshot (if you know how to use it for your benefit)

        • urgh, so jelly that you got it at that price.

        • +1

I've asked the seller, and he said the coupon has expired.

        • Really wouldn't mind getting the white one for 230 :)

  • "Not fulfilled by Amazon" - Does that mean if there are issues with the desk, we are on our own?

Want to buy one for my partner - just the base. Have a desktop board leftover from my previous OmniDesk. Would this work with that?

Also, would appreciate if any one can provide recommendations for the base unit. TIA

    • I've contacted the seller and happy with the fast communication. Even got a tracking number after 15mins.

    • I have two of these from ebay. Sourced the desktops elsewhere (1800mm, 1400mm). Very happy with the quality.

      • Is the price ($288) okay compared to what you got on eBay?

Also, how do we mount/fix our tabletop on this?

        • Also keen to know answer for Q2.

        • +1

Some screws with a drill and you're good to go!

    • What happened to the OmniDesk?

      • +1

I had bought the 60' version but then it felt small, so went ahead with 72' one. Asked OmniDesk guys to swap the board and take the difference but they didn't, so ordered 72' separately.

  • +2

Have the white one. Very good value and well made. 120kg payload capacity.

    • The same company and model (just a different color)?

    • Also have one. Used every day (up down multiple times a day) since Mar 2020 and no issues.

    • have a grey one, so far so good, very solid.

  • +1

    Yep

  • What's the 3 stage stuff about?

    • The leg has 3 telescoping sections instead of 2. It means the desk can have a higher range of heights than a 2 stage.

    • The legs are telescopic. These have three parts, some have two.

Three gives more range, possibly at the expense of stability. I have two of this model and no probs with stability but I haven't owned the alternative, so I can't comment on the comparison.

      • Fairly sure the 3 stage means more range AND more stability. Each individual stage moves less for each CM raised, which means more stability. That's my rudimentary understanding at least.

I've got the 3 stage and it's extremely stable at height.

        • +1

Each shaft/sleeve join has some unwanted rotational movement. The three stage has two such connections while the two stage has only one. So, all else being equal, more stages leads to less stability. The quality of these connections is another factor and it's likely that the tolerances are higher to overcome this.

I agree that the three stage model is very stable though (I wouldn't have bought a second one otherwise).

          • @us3rnam3tak3n: Agree to disagree!

The more overlap between sleeves, the less room each sleeve has to move. If two desks (2 stage and 2 stage) are set to the same height 3 stage should be more stable.

Agreed this may be different with cheaper models where tolerances aren't quite as good - but I've found on these aimezoau frames the tolerance and overall quality is great

            • +1

@cheesesteakjimmy: Under those assumptions I agree with you. My assumptions were that the overall height was similar and each was at their maximum extent.

    • I asked the rep. Only different is it can go slightly lower (5cm) and higher (20cm) than the 2 stage model. The lowest this can go is 65cm which is great for short people.

The one OP has listed is the cheapest in the lineup because it only has a single bar joining the 2 sections and IMO is weaker because of it.

The 2 stage model with dual reinforcing is the one to get assuming you’re of an average height.

  • I've got the previous model which has 4 memory positions but only the one USB charging port (I use it to charge my headset - I bought one of those headset/headphone hooks that clamp onto the desk, which keeps it all nice and tidy).

This new model has the additional USB-C charging port.

I personally only use 2 of the memory positions anyway (for sit and stand heights) so I would say the new model is better.

The desk is very solid/sturdy and heavy - I still find it incredible that they are offering free shipping.

Mine came with a free desk top and total price was 334.99aud.

I am at work right now but happy to answer any PMs tonight.

  • +1

These are great. Highly recommended if you're a WFH type.

Any recommendations on desktops that are deep? I currently have an Ikea top that is 186 x 64, and the price was right, but I'd like something deeper. 80-90cm preferably. Anyone know of any good options?

    • Can it go above 75cm deep? Description on the link says 60-75 cm depth.

      • +1

Personally I think as long as it's centered properly, that it shouldn't be a problem, assuming that the desktop isn't too heavy. This thing is very sturdy in the current configuration.

        • Thanks. Was also wondering about the tools required? If you know anything about that?

          • +2

@worryroots: From memory, just a drill to screw the top on, which you could do by hand depending on the top you got. Otherwise it was all allen key bolts.

  • Any tools you need to get separately to assemble the whole table? Power drill for the top maybe?

    • I bought one of these last year in lockdown, only needed a screwdriver. Kept the top off my old IKEA desk and had a drill handy but ended up being able to just screw in new holes without it

  • +3

Thanks, brought 2! :D Was waiting for the deal, worked well with the $20 table top I purchased.

Link to the deal below on the $20 table top.

    • +1

That table top is 80cm but this is only up to 60-75cm , are you just planning on having it too big and not drilling the holes or
drilling holes and having it slightly too big - would it make a difference to anything ?

      • +2

I don't think it would matter. Can't see why the frame cannot fit a 80 cm width (deep) table top.

      • +1

Think my top is 80cm deep. I just centred it and don't lean on the front when its at full height. Never had any issue

    • I don't think these table tops will work? The top is 12mm thick but the screw provided in the package to mount top is 19mm deep, so would pierce out the top? Am I correct?

      • +2

Surely you could just use different screws?

  • +5

For those interested, i reached out and they are discounting the White version soon.

  • What about this one?
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Adjustable-Charging-Capacity-Anti-…

It's got "dual rail" on the top vs single rail in this base.

    • I reckon when you secure the top with screws, it reinforces the table anyway.

  • Thanks OP!

  • I've got a desktop (that popular wood at bunnings) 218x65cm

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/2200-x-600-x-26mm-acacia-solid-o…

Do you think I would be pushing it keeping the width that long? I've only got two monitors and a Mac Mini for weight + the wood.

If I cut it what's the max width you would go? any owner's opinion?

I like my extra long desk for paperwork, but being able to stand up occasionally and work would be good.

    • "Suitable for the size of the table:From 110 to 180cm in length and 60 to 75cm in width."

Mines 185cm, same sorta wood. I reckon cut it down to 200cm, but you can try it first and see how it handles.

  • Is this too heave to install casters and roll over the carpet?

  • +1

There are not many buyers to entice me into buying it and there are heaps of them on gumtree.

  • would the 2 stage be fine for someone that is 175cms tall? i wonder if theres a difference in sturdiness at height.

Also cant decide between this or the older ones with two rods…

  • +1

Toll just delivered mine. Little over 24 hours from the time of payment to delivery (Melbourne). Pretty impressive!

    • wow, how are you finding it?

      • +1

I'm using the skarsta top from my manual desk. Didn't know it has hollow sections until I screw in to it.
It feels solid than the ikea table. Easy to assemble. Smooth and quiet. USB C port is low powered but works. Range is good. I would probably never use the highest setting. Definitely recommend at this price

        • Cheers! Glad to hear its good quality!

  • Seems to be expired. Showing $359.99 for me.

  • Got this in white and a few accessories to complete the package. $287 for the 3 stage frame, $119 for the white 140cm tabletop. Glad to see a few more reviews and that these appear to be good tables. WFH will be a little better.

Ordered on Wednesday and the frame is out for delivery by Toll in Adelaide today. Unfortunately the tabletop was sent with Aramex and is still in "processing". I'm hoping I'll see that sometime this year.

    • Gahhh. Not the best experience so far. A rubber cushion missing from the packet.

And after putting it all together, error codes when lifting up. Followed the instructions to initialise, as soon as it tries to lift I either get e05 or e08 error codes and it goes back into initialisation mode again…

      • +1

EDIT: Doesn't appear I can edit the last comment. Error codes are due to the control box not being securely mounted to a table top (I haven't received the table top yet). Seems like it has a few more smarts in it than I was expecting.

Secured the control box to a cardboard box to test and goes up. Box wasn't secured properly and did wobble occasionally, causing similar error codes so that's good I guess.

  • +1

Is anyone having dramas setting these up?? I cant set the top height and it keeps erroring, have wasted an hour trying to sort it out and no luck.

Errors E05 E08 and cant get it to the top

    • Don't keep pressing "up" until it goes all the way up. Press for a second or two, then release. Keep doing that until it reaches the highest position.

      • I'm having the same issue as well, and pressing it for less than a second still results in an error message. Managed to set a height, but whenever i press the preset, the table tries to get to the height, errors out and goes back down. It's driving me insane.

        • +1

found the solution from support. Mount the control box!

Dear customer, be sure to fix the control box first. If you test the table without fixing the control box, these two error codes will always be displayed. First, you can unplug all the power cords and wait for 30 minutes. Then insert the power cord and fix the control box. Reset after fixing. Reset is successful only when you hear the buzzer. The control box must be fixed horizontally before the table frame is raised or lowered.

          • +1

@rhys100: Looks at my comments above! Same issue and worked out it was due to this. They really need to have this in the instructions to save them having to support so much! I had the frame arrive and I wanted to test everything was working out of the box while waiting for the tabletop.

  • the white one has been discounted to $310. Just wanna know how stable the desk it is when standing, will it be wobble? thanks.

    • +1

Mine is steady. It was wobbly when it was at the highest position and when I tried to shake it with a bit of force

  • Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have a corner desk that I want to disassemble and use the top as a standing desk. The shape will look something like this: https://www.amazon.com.au/FORTIA-Height-Adjustable-L-Shaped-…

Any idea where I can get legs for a table top like this? I can only find legs like in this post or a set of 3 which is insanely expensive.
