  • That's a bargain.

  • Great deal indeed OP.

  • Recommend this for video games on a LG OLED? Or am I best sticking to a headset?

    • You'll need a Bose sub to pair with this though, but it's a completely different comparison.

I personally hate wearing headphones for long periods.

      • You can get around this by driving the sub VIA the TV. I've got my non-bose sub running with my bose soundbar. Downside being is I run music direct on the soundbar, then no sub.

    • I am using this exact setup now, it works pretty well for me. You can notice a clear sound quality difference between these two. The only pain point is that if you use the HDMI arc to connect the sound bar, the TV sound won't get played out. It didn't happen too often, but still kind of a headache because you need to turn the machine off and on then it might get solved. I used the optical connection in the end, but in this case, you can't use the TV remote to control the volume. But after all, the sound quality is excellent for this price.

  • nice find OP! will cop but wishing the sub was also there will have to wait for that :)

This isn't Atmos of anyone is interested in that.
I still think a solid Samsung q700 or above would be better but to each their own

any good to connect with a PC or this is mainly for TV?

    • F. I want to upgrade my old PC speakers at sometimes and am wondering if going soundbar is a good idea.

    • It does not have a 3.5mm jack, optical and hdmi arc only

The #1 reason soundbars are not recommended for PC is deskspace because it would normally sit where your monitor is, but sure you can use it for PC if you maybe have your monitors wall mounted or some other solution that gives you the space directly infront of you for a soundbar.

  • $720 on Bose website.
Been a price drop on it

If you're going to drop $700, I'd recommend going to get the Edifier S3000Pro which is back on sale for $764. Obviously they are much bigger and potentially different use cases, but if sound is your priority, that's the way to go.

If people are looking to buy a full Atmos surround system this deal is better https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/707618

  • What's the warranty offered? The bose sound bar I got gave up 2.5 yrs after purchase and bose warranty offer was that I could come by the shop and buy a new sound bar.

    • ACL

    • 1 year for active speakers, 5 years for passive speakers source, didn't realise Bose were that stingy with their warranty period and that you'd have to be making an ACL argument to get a warranty replacement on such a high end product after only 12 months… Thanks for pointing this out.

      • It was pretty disappointing support on Bose's part, after googling the issue, it sounded like it was a common fault and someone posted the electric component that needed get replaced. Soldering required to get it fixed. Have not tried to fix it yet, on my todo list.

    No ATMOS no deal.

  • Got this for $769 back in November 2019. Great sounding, sleek looking soundbar that won't be an eye sore in your living room. Great bargain at $683 delivered!

  • The atmos version listed (900) isn't a deal price either. Even the 700 bass module too, it was $800 this time last year. It seems this amazon prime deal is a clearance sale of the outdated model at the original price.

  • For those who compare with the Samsung or LG soundbars, the thing which drew me to Bose was the dimensions which happen to fit between my awkward TV legs on our IKEA BESTA cabinet without falling off the edge. I went with the 900 (from TGG commercial) for the extra speakers over this three speaker soundbar though.

  • Much better than 2 years back deal where Bose has a code bug and bought this system for $720

  • No highs no lows must be Bose
